Cancun or Playa Del Carmen - Ultrajewels AD

Hi

I am in Riviera Maya next week and I contacted the AD for stock availability. They would not provide any guidance. Has anyone successfully made a purchase by just walking in either branch of UltraJewels?

Thanks in advance!!

Nope but I had fun talking watches with the staff at Ultra Kukulcan. Was there mid March. Good Luck.

No personal experience but others here have noted being offered what they wanted but only in a bundle deal with something much more expensive. Bring lots of money!

Been allocated a few Daytona's via this AD in the last 4 years. The most recent being a 126500 panda that i'll be picking up next week. Great SA's over there

Assuming you can "bundle" is payment made via credit card or wire?

I have bought from them in the past. They’ll sell to you if bundle.

Which SA should the op work with?

Did you have to bundle for those allocations?

Sorry it took a little while for me to respond as i wanted to wait to get back from another trip to UltraJewels before outlining my experience once again with this AD....

As usual they treated us like family and took their time allowing me to drink as much Don Julio 70 as i pleased. Tried on quite a few pieces with my date and chatted to a few different Sales Associates getting an assorted set of opinions on different brands from Hublot to Vacheron Constantin and every brand in-between.

With that being said the Sales Staff is not pushy at all and/or territorial. You are open to walk around and to speak to whomever you please.

I added a link to my SOTC thread which outlines my past and updated collection where as 80-85% of my pieces have been purchased via this AD although it being in a completely different country.

Yes, sometimes it is required that you purchase another brand but if its a brand you are interested in anyway why not use it as leverage and support your SA & AD. I am interested in collecting more than just Rolex so if there is a Cartier or Vacheron I'm interested in I'd much rather source it through UltraJewels and use it as leverage to obtain a Rolex that I'm interested in too

During this trip I purchased a Cartier Santos Dumont Skeleton which i've been smitten over ever since I first tried it on in April. Didn't know if it would happen for sure but I requested a 126500ln white dial with the purchase and so said so done!

Really an amazing experience

They are good people, I deal with occasionally. I just picked up a TT Daytona white dial and an Air King this week (the air king was for a gift). Highly recommend them.

Guys what is this AD? Sounds like you can actually get desireable pieces if you bundle?

It’s very timely since I will be going to Playa Del Carmen end of the month.

What kind of bundles are we talking about and what other brands do they carry? Looks like Cartier and VC?

For example if I’m looking for a Daytona, do I need to bundle with a $10k/$20k/$30k piece?

There’s no bundle purchase. Just UJ has several brands. Again if you shop outside of just Rolex, build up a client base they will work with you.

I’m staying in the Mayan Riviera next week. I saw on the map there are four stores within 45 minutes of my resort. Any suggestions of which store you would recommend going to?

Arrived in Playa Del Carmen last Wednesday. Visited Ultrajewel on 5th ave on Thursday. SA was very helpful. I was told nothing was available at this time. I tried on a Polar Explorer ll and fell in love with it, amazing in person. She asked if I was interested in it and I told her definitely yes. She informed me that she would look into it and asked me when I was leaving. She then told me she would call me on Monday to let me know if she could sell me the watch.

On Monday we talked through what’s app and I was offered the watch. I happily accepted and made the purchase. I did not have to bundle it with any other watches. Ended my vacation on a high note.

That's awesome- and good to hear you didn't have to buy a 36mm ladies diamond watch to get it!

Congrats on a great watch.

I haven’t purchased anything there but I have to say it was the friendliest AD I’ve ever been to.

I was there with my wife and 3 yr old at the time (this was a couple years ago)

They showed me so many pieces and were friendly with my family too. Offering them beverages.

I was there the week of July 4th and stopped into the Ultrajewels in Playa (not sure if it's 5th Ave or not, but it's the one in the mall near the ferry) after spending a day on Cozumel. I can speak to my experience of just running in there on a whim.

They were extremely nice, and very accommodating. They had quite a few Rolex pieces available to try on, and even let my 8 year old try on a ROlex or two. And I can tell you, after spending a day in Cozumel, we were a site to see; hot, tired, and wearing beach attire. But that didn't stop them from being very welcoming.

They did have a DJ41 SS, fluted, Oyster, blue dial for sale. I asked if I could buy it right then and there, and the manager (Daniel, I believe) said yes, no purchase history required. I was pretty amazed. But, while I really loved the watch, I didn't buy it. It's not exactly the DJ41 I wanted, and I have no desire to buy up a watch that is on someone else's wish list.

I did ask if I could put my name on a list for the pieces that I am looking for, and they were happy to accommodate. I told them I'd fly back to do business with them if either of the watches popped up and it was my turn (it's a pretty quick flight for me from Texas). We'll see if it happens, but if it doesn't, I still had a pleasant experience with them, and they did have a popular piece for sale that day.

So, all-in-all, not a bad random stop in. Glad I did it.

Cancun or Playa Del Carmen - Ultrajewels AD

Dang Nice pickup on the polar explore. I was there a couple weeks ago at the 5th street in playa. Nothing was available except op36 blue dial and some 2 tone DJ. That they said they would have to see if they could sell.

I even tried the bundle trick with a Tudor for a steel date sub and no luck. They Just didn’t want to play ball.

Did they ask you to send IG/info about why you want the watch to put together a presentation to try to get you approved for the watch?

They did ask for my IG info and the SA friended me. I guess they look through your IG posts. I didn’t have any issues with that. Definitely happy with the purchase and the experience.
