Think you just have to ask for them, as it's how Rolex ship the watches to the AD

I think if the GMT had the Glidelock, it would kind of render the Sub redundant... Stunning watch.

Great review, excellent point in emphasizing how easily gold scratches. I've ben looking into getting a GMT but I think I'll probably get the pepsi looking one instead. I'd love to hear your opinion on which is best.

There is really not a noticeable difference in accumulating scratches on the steel versus gold polished links. That's a kind of myth floating around. Anything scratching your gold bracelet will most probably also scratch your steel. Think of small sand particles in dust or a brick wall Even the satin brushed steel will get scratched by normal wear, less obvious but if you take a close look you will notice.
Personally I like the PCL's and swirls and hairline scratches don't bother me in the least.
You want to go for the red/blue than it's either in white gold with the ceramic bezel or an older 4 or 5 digit reference with the aluminium painted insert.
Against general consensus I much prefer the newer 6-digit reference with its solid case, bracelet and perfect easy link clasp. The feel is much more substantial imho.
You should always try before you buy as the difference is huge.
Going for the Pepsi most like you are going to end up pre owned with reference 16710, but do try 116710 (black) as well. These can be had for a steal pre-owned.
Personal preferences aside there is no one the better watch imo.

My all time favourite GMT fwiw is this one below, arguably the nicest two tone Rolex has ever made. Very versatile, dress up or down, jeans and suit.

Great review of a great watch , many thanks . Wasn't sure if it was a bit OTT to begin with, but its my weekend watch now & haven't seen anything that will replace it ( yet ). Definitely has the crossover look from casual to formal in one watch & love the gold tones .
