9315/380 bracelet on 1665
I’ve been doing some forum searching and haven’t found a definitive answer on this. I have a 1665 Sea Dweller that looks to be a 1978 production based on the serial number. It has a 9315 folded bracelet with a B stamp on the clasp which seems to indicate 1977 production. Is it possible that this is the original bracelet for the watch? Wear between the watch and bracelet are consistent and they were produced roughly in the same period, however the references seem to indicate this bracelet was used on other sports models of the era but the sea dweller got the 93150. Were both bracelets in production at the same time? Should I be looking to swap this bracelet for a 93150? Can new 93150’s still be bought from Rolex?
Thanks in advance. |

IMO the GF 9315 is more desirable and fine for your watch unless you do not want or like it for its thinness when compared to the 93150. Apparently there was a 9316 bracelet specific for the 1665 at some point but good luck finding info on it. Which end links are on your 9315 bracelet? You may have an original set up for the watch. I do like the bracelet, it’s in good shape and has all its links. It’s comfortable and has a definite vintage look and feel to it. The end links are reference 380 which could be correct according to the first resource you linked. It would seem likely to me that it’s original, because if it was replaced at some point it would seem more likely that the solid link bracelet would have been used.

As far as I know the 1665 first got a 9315 bracelet with 285 or 385 end link fittings. Mid to late 70's it got the 93150 with 585 end link fittings.
I would personally expect a -78 1665 to have a 93150 with 585s. |

Since bracelets were often added at the point of sale, bracelets don't always match the year of production of the watch, although the bracelets are more often later than the watch in my experience.
Can you post the first few digits of the serial number instead of an assumed year? Many people get confused because they use incorrect internet serial number charts.

X3...76/77 the rough cut-off, slightly different in different mkts, but 1978 93150 is the expectation.

Here are some pictures showing the watch and bracelet along with serial and reference numbers for watch and bracelet. One thing that I noticed is that there is only one set of wear marks on the underside of the lugs and between the lugs and they line up with the 380 end links on this bracelet.
With my SD43 just for fun: |

Well, disregard the above post about photos. It’s been a while since I’ve used any online forums and it looks like Dropbox doesn’t work for hosting pictures anymore. What service are people using now?
Edit: Figured something out shows thumbnails on which have to be clicked on. Not ideal but it’s something. Edit No. 2: Figured out full size photos. |

I use Imgur. If you downsize the photos, you can post the directly.

Please check if links' side view are sort of "trapezoidal" like mine.
I'm attaching engravings. Mine has the 9315/380 combo too. Location of your 380 is far from what I have. |

Yes, the links have a similar profile to what you show.
