Thinking of this watch:

Breitling Navitimer World GMT 410 (blue face).

Does anyone own this watch? Any input would be appreciated. I've never owned a Breitling but it seems like a solid watch.

Also, along the same lines, authenticwatches.com seems to be the only place that sells this model. Has anyone dealt with them?

Thanks!

Up until a month ago, I owned this watch but with a black face. I have seen the blue face and it was just as sweet. The Navitimer World is a very well built watch, with the bezel turning with surgical precision. The bracelet was one of the best made that I've seen. It also has nice weight.

I purchased mine from an AD and with the discount I received - the price was about the same as the website. Me personally, I would purchase from an AD. If they didn't have the blue face in stock - I'd have them to order it and be patient.

as I've said many times before.....IMO a watch from the Navitimer line is the only Breitling worth getting....Enjoy it!!

Blimms - Also, when you say that the discount was about the same with the AD, are you including sales tax? I'm in Texas and with 8.25% sales tax on $5-$6k, that's not a game.

So with a retail price of $6,800 and 8.25% sales tax, that'd be $7,361 (on the nose, which is weird).

AuthenticWatches is selling it for $4,495 so the AD would have to discount it down to $4,152.42 (which makes it around $4,495 after tax is included). This would be a discount on the order of 38.9%. Is this possible?! If it IS, I'm buying from ADs from here on out!

I own a Navitimer Datora, which is very similar to the World. I love the watch and it has quickly become one of my favorites. I would also buy from an AD or better yet, one of the sellers on the forum. DAVIDSW is who I bought my Datora from and his price was better than the best AD price I could find.

No ........... my discount was before taxes. I live in FL and we pay 6% sales tax. But I'd be willing to pay the taxes (gives me peace of mind that the watch is 1. Legit and 2. If anything goes wrong it, I'm covered) I like deals - but I've been a victim of Murphy's Law.

I don't know anything about the website you mentioned. They may be legit - but no factory warranty with your purchase.

Good Luck with whatever you decide.
