Icon4 Help please!

I was just washing my watch and decided to set the time and wind it a little, to ensured it has enough power reserve. Usually, when cleaning my watch with water, i set the time and wind the watch next day to ensure it is completly dry before open the crown. For some reason today i decided to opened just right after cleaning with water, because it seemed to be dry. But for my surprise when i opened the vibration left off some drops in my fingers and i'm fear that the humidity in my hands could enter the watch and make some moisture on it. I'm wondering how resistant to water is the watch with open crown?. My watch is a Datejust 116200 (SEL model).

Your fine, I actually went into my pool one time with the crown completely unscrewed with my Omega SMP. Obviously I freaked out, took it to a watchmaker...no leakage at all. That was last summer and it's still fine.

With the crown unscrewed the watch will still be good to certain depth. The rubber gaskets will prevent water from getting in. I wouldn't purposely go in water with it unscrewed but it shouldn't be a problem based on your description.

You can leave it unscrewed and look for fog inside the chrystal for the next couple of days, but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Here is where all of the water/dust seals are on the stem of your watch...

Leaving it unscrewed is generally a non-issue .

The main seal is inside, around the stem in the tube (left). The other is in the crown - thus, Twinlock..

The gaskets protects from water penetration even in the farest position, that to set time?
