I got my Pepsi today! Something odd happened when they were sizing me. Normal?
Got my Pepsi today!!! Been waiting since the end of 2018 for it. Lucky enough to call in last week to get an update and then received a call today to pick it up.
After getting it sized I wanted it a little tighter so they walk me over to the guy who sizes it. They suggested doing the micro adjust on the clasp rather than taking out a link. He does the adjustment and then holds the watch (clasp side up) in both both hands from the bracelet and pulls really hard. Is this normal? It seemed like he pulled the bracelet apart to make sure he had correctly done the micro adjustment. He literally held the watch upside down and pulled the bracelet apart really hard. I almost feinted when he did that. I should have just asked him why he did that but I did not. Does anyone know what the reasoning behind this was? |

Either to pull out the easy link extension or confirm the bracelet was secure in the mirco adjustment hole. Next time ask and you won’t have to worry and speculate over the reasoning. You’ll get your answer straight from the horse’s mouth. I wouldn’t worry too much over it, the bracelets are incredibly robust. Enjoy your newest reference!
Same thing goes for the folks who post on the forum if they go to the bottom of the professional model wait list after buying another reference. Just ask the SA in person. |

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your BLRO
I have no idea as I wasn’t there, but can’t imagine why someone would pull it apart like an exercise band |

Sounds like you got the correct sizing which is clasp expansion closed. That way if you need more room, you can expand it from the clasp. The watch looks better with the extension closed when not needed.

Probably some overzealous goon looking for unwelcome attention via your watch.
I would be horrified.

I just called the AD. They said they do it to ensure the micro adjustment pin is in the tiny holes on clasp. If the pin is not in the tiny hole, the bracelet could potentially open up and the watch could fall off the wrist.
Thanks to those who answered though! |

Yeah because through his torture test, if it weren’t seated, at least it would break apart and fly all over the ADs floor instead of falling off your wrist somewhere else. Doesn’t make sense to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
