Oysterflex on 16710 Pepsi GMT - In Case you were wondering

Had an exciting day with my AP 15400 returning from APSC with a new crystal and full service.

Not sure exactly what that has to do with me playing around with the oyster flex lol! But I think having the Royal Oak back got me on a bracelet kick.

Since I wear my SS Daytona most often I decided to take the jubilee off the 16710 put it on the Daytona, which left me with a lonely Oysterflex Strap. So for now it will live on the GMT. I was quite surprised at how much I like the look and feel of this combo!

Enjoy!

Did you use the same Daytona endlinks on the Pepsi?

Looks great IMHO! =)

I put my LV on the OF but felt the gap was a bit much. But if you confirm the endlinks fit, I'll start using the OF more (as I have the endlinks and two sets of OF straps just sitting collecting dust for now).

haha I literally did the same thing with my LVC and didn't care much for the gaps.

Yes, the end links are the same ones I use for my Daytona. The end links I have are polished in the center which works brilliantly with the daytona, they work pretty well with the 16710 but IMO don't look right with the LVC.

I got mine from smartyjones18, I'm sure he makes them for the SubC also. Gotta use those OF straps!! They're incredible.

Very cool modernisation! The black insert will really make it I think. Or the coke. Has to have some black there imo but very nice indeed.

Thanks for the info!! I will definitely use them now on the Kermit. (until my Daytona-C shows up... Whenever that will be)

Jubi on Daytona? Huh, not for me......please put the Oysterflex on it, that looks wonderful.
In my opinion the rubber band looks very good on nearly every SS Rolex.

In all honesty the Oyster looks a lot better on the GMT. Like how you experiment though. Very cool.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, which OF Bracelet model would fit the 16710?

The Oysterflex has standard strap-ends; it will likely fit on almost any watch from any manufacturer.

What will not fit on any other watch is the machined in Daytona end-link gap fillers. You need aftermarket spacers for that.

It's funny, while I kinda like it, it's still very clear why Rolex don't offer it as a true catalogue option. Something's just not 100% spot on about it, as a wider, non-divisive option.

Some things, however, should never be done... how about the time I tried a leather strap on my BLNR... hahah

I tried the newer clasp on my 16710 and found it just didn’t seem to be simpatico with the fiive digit GMT. Clasp was great on my Daytona and my 126710. Newer style Clasp just seemed to be too big and heavy for the five digit.
