16710 Braclet Options in 2023

I've never liked jubilee bracelets until I tried on my friends BLNR batgirl and fell in love.

And now I really want to dress up my 16710 Coke up in a jubilee.

So I deep dived the forums and discovered basically there's two main options:

Original Jubilee Bracelet- #62510H
Super Jubilee bracelet - #63200

The pros for the original are simple: It's what the watch originally shipped with, has micro adjustments. Cons are the hollow, less sturdy links and more prone to stretching.

The super jubilee pros are its sturdy and better built. Cons are its not technically meant to be paired with the 16710 (and fitment may not be perfect), has no micro adjustment option, and is insanely priced on the after market.

Most people say both are comfortable on the wrist.

So questions:

1. Any recommendations on which to go with now that people have had a few years with the super jubilee option?
2. For those rocking the super jubilee after a few years, any issues, rubbing or damage to the case? Some early posts speculated there could be issues.
3. What's the best way to buy any of these? They seem a lot more rare from my early scans.

Ex: Could I go down to RSC in Bev Hills and order an original? Should I fork out 3.5/4k for for a grey super jubilee on Chrono24?

I’ve used both a Super Jubilee (63600) and Jubilee 62510H on my 16710T, and I much prefer the regular, period correct Jubilee.

It is lighter, more comfortable, and more adjustable. I like how the hollow end links cause the bracelet to “break” and so there is a lot of flex/give when wearing it. It doesn’t need a glidelock or on-wrist adjustment because there is just natural give.

“Stretch” comes from years of not washing — I was my bracelet under water, and every few months in an ultrasonic washer.

The Super Jubilee was too “stiff” for me — there is not much play or give in the bracelet. You have to hope it fits you perfect or you are sort of out of luck (I even tried a 1.25 link, but still struggled to fit well).

I also felt like the Super Jubilee didn’t quite fit aesthetically — I may be off, but it seemed shinier.

I had a super J on my 16710 for a few years. Looked and felt great. When I picked up a new Pepsi that was on a Jubilee, I went back to the OEM Oyster on the 16710.

Will Rolex (AD or RSC in Bev Hills) actually sell me a 62510H at retail?

Or will they want to take my original oyster band in return?

I bought a jubilee directly from RSC two years ago at retail! It was not part of service so I kept the original oyster as well

RSC should have it and sell it to you at retail. You could get a pepsi insert too and pay to keep the coke. Sell the pepsi to offset some of the cost.

I just ordered and arrived within 2 weeks Jubilee bracelet with correct endlinks for my K serial 16710
It arrived straight from Rolex in sealed packaging

Price was $1350 + tax
Ordered through my AD and no it didn’t require swap

I put a 63600 Super Jubilee on a 16710 Pepsi a few years ago and love it. Far better for me than the Oyster. I went with this one rather than the 65210H because I prefer the hidden clasp. I got it from an AD (friend of mine is the manager) at MSRP, and it took 10 months to arrive because Rolex had them backordered at the time. I'm not sure if it's still possible to get one of these from an AD or from RSC. For example, if you gave RSC a "naked" 16710 on a random strap, I'm not sure which bracelet model(s) they might sell you.

I have both and I think the 62510 fits the 16700/10 better in terms of looks (I actually like the clasp and the old school feel it emits).
In terms of comfort, I would say they are the same- I cannot feel the greater weight of the SJ compared to the hollow.
Regarding durability, don't be afraid of stretching. If you get a new one, it will last you a "lifestime". I've had mine for several years now and although it's not a daily, the clasp is still "stiff".
Price-wise the 62510 is about half the price of the SJ. ADs will only order the hollow for your 16710 (unless they know you).

All in all, I vote for the hollow!

I might want to try this on my K serial GMT II - I'm arming up to the jubilee look on a GMT II. My K serial (2003) has lug holes, so will this fit a lug hole case - I assume so?

I prefer OEM, period correct components on all my watches. For that reason, I would get the standard Jubilee from that era.

Got the standard at a local AD ($1100) - looks and feels great. It also looks great on the Exp II

Can a 97200 glidelock clasp be installed in the 62510H jubilee bracelet? I know the glidelock installs perfectly in the older 93250 etc. Is it a "drop in" pretty much?

this is my intention (get a #62510H - I have the original oyster that camed with my 2003 K serial GMT II), but the "tuna can" clasp doesn't work for me (personal I know). Thats why 11 years ago I put a glidelock on the GMT II oyster bracelet. So, my question is can the glidelock fit into the jubilee (#62510H)?

I sourced a 62510H for my 16710 Pepsi. I tried to order one through the RSC here in Seoul and they felt out told me "no". I didn't think to try through an AD.
Nonetheless, I love it and couldn't be happier.

Yes, on a "holes" case, the 62510 with either the 502B (older; can't be ordered through Rolex) and 502T (newer) endlinks work fine. The only concern is for those without drilled lugs, for whom only the 502T work.

Reporting back that Beverly Hills RSC came through today.

$1260 including tax.

Walked in without an appointment, received excellent service, and it was never in question that my original oyster bracelet would be withheld as some have reported with other service centers.

The jubilee is a much better match for the GMT imo.

Also there's something about a 20 year old watch that's never been polished on a brand new bracelet.
