Shouldn't it really have an A260?

Hi, I bought the watch as a genuine rolex perpetual but i think the rolex dealer has made it from spare parts. The case is a bubbleback so i think it should have a A296 movement not a 1030.I paid £700 for the watch & think i was done. The watch has not worked for 6 months and is back with the dealer.

You may want to check around, I may be wrong, but I think it should have the A260

Yes, I agree with nodnarb757. From my records it should have the A.260 movement, however with Rolex who knows. The A.260 movement was made between 1950-1954, and the 1030 movement was made between 1950-1957. So as you can clearly see they is an overlap. John. |

Do a google search for rolex calibers and you should find many sites with that info.
