"Rose Gold" Clasp Question?

Anyone know the history or reason "Rose Gold" clasps are used on President models?

The Rose gold option for the Day-Date was introduced in 2000, I believe.

But EITHER you would have a Day-Date that is rose gold ALL THE WAY: Case, bezel, bracelet (including clasp). OR: you would have it in YG ("ordinary"), WG or Platinum.

But there is no such thing as a "rose gold" CLASP (on its own, that is!) on the Day-Dates.
