Interesting Discovery ref. GMT II
Well, today was messing around with my TT GMT II 116713 and also my Explorer II.
Decided to try something. Swap out the TT Gmt II new style bracelet for the Explorer II oyster style old bracelet. Even though the SEL on the Explorer II bracelet are a little thinner, it fits on the GMT II really nice! Bracelet is flush and very secure. Actually the TT GMT II with the old style Oyster Bracelet is very comfortable on the wrist! Gives a nice look as well. TT Dial and God Bezel, crown and then an all SS Brushed bracelet. |

Experiment # 2:
Kept Oyster SS BRacelet (Hollow link old style)on TT GMT II. But took clasp off and replaced with new style TT Clasp. Nice look. Gold on bottom and Gold on Top. Brushed SS in between on bracelet and case. Plus the Hollow Center link old style brushed bracelet is comfortable. Think I may get additionally a SS GMT II new style, but will have the center links brushed. Anyway, going to wear the above combination for the rest of the day. |

Nice one, Chad!
Don't you some times have troubles getting those bracelets off the case having SEL's? I remember doing this on the SD I have, and even though I used the right tool, it was still not easy at all.

Hey Robb...
You should try attaching your New GMT's bracelet to your LV. See how that looks? Lord knows that the Sub's could use a new bracelet design...LOL |

Yeah, I know PHotos. Trying to find a charger for my camera.
Will get some. I am actually liking this configuration a lot! To be honest, I love the TT Dial! The Gold hands and hour outlines, the Gold Bezel, the Gold Crown. But, I was not too crazy about the TT Bracelet. Like a brushed Stainless steel bracelet. The SEL of the Explorer II bracelet fit right where they are suppose to top side. They are about 0.5 mm shallow on the underside. But still the SEL fits nice and flush and snug. Very comfortable. Spacedweller. I have gotten it down where I can pop off the SEL pretty quick using my Swiss Army Knife. I use the pointed edge of the awl to push in the pin, then stick the end of a thumb tack into the opening to keep the pin pushed in. Then push back the pin on the other side and it pops off. Putting on is easy. Put the SEL on the case, with cyrstal downward, and the pin protruding on the bottom sides of the lugs. Take the micro screw driver of the swiss army knife and pop in one side and then just pop in the other and position until pins pop in the holes. |

Photos tomorrow. Have to recharge my Camera Battery, and due to the Asian adapter can not do at my current location. Have to wait until tomorrow morning to find the proper electrical outlet/adaptor. Promise will have new thread tomorrow with plenty of photos!
Note: Bought my new Olympus 770SW camera in Malaysia. Came with two batteries. Once they ran out went to recharge and yep, Asian Adapter! LOL Did not even think of it when I bought it! |
