An odd duck (Turn-o-graph content)
In my time collecting watches, I've never had the opportunity to handle a Turn-o-graph, so when I saw a clean ref 1625 being auctioned, I impulsively made a bid that ended up winning. TBH, I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about it, but it's definitely an interesting watch. I do like this particular no-lume dial/handset with black inlay from ~1970.
Any other odd duck TOGs out there?

That is a great looking watch Dan! Supposedly, the Turn-o-graph 6202 is what started all the modern Rolex Sports watches (GMT and Submariner). With the bezel on your recent purchase, you can definitely see a little Yacht Master as well. Looks very minty! Well played…

Hi Dan-
TOG's have lingered on my maybe list for quite a while. When I saw this one (with papers) on the bay a few months ago, a TOG moved to the top of the list, and is now on my wrist. |

I love them. Waiting for the right Slate GreyDial / WG bezel to come along

Congratulations on a lovely piece. It’s an oddity. Slightly smaller case than 1601, unique reference dial smaller than 16xx Datejust but bigger than 15xx series, but crystal from 15xx. Get it on an oyster bracelet ;)

Always wanted a modern version with black dial and TT jubilee. I always liked the lesser moved models.

I definitely did not know all that, especially the fact that the case is smaller than the 1601. I agree it would look good on an oyster or rivet, I'll give that a try.

Wow that’s a good one…..99.9% of turnographs have at least 1 bezel polish for some weird reason……because there is nothing to polish on the bezel lol….

Let us see a pic of it with one of your rivet bracelets on it.
Thinking it will look completely different and very nice with one.

Looks great on the rivet bracelet. I can't say how much of an odd duck it is (I see them on Chrono 24 and eBay all the time) but own a five-digit TOG on an Oyster.

Perfect. Jubilee too busy with the bezel in my opinion.

Nice having a spare 7206 lying around.
That clean bezel with that dial and bracelet is a great score… Congrats!

Great catch, I do not understand how TOG's never caught collector attention as they infinitely more useful than DJ's given the rotating bezel...If you want to further funk up your life, find a nice Tudor 7020 and than you can have a day date with rotating bezel!

Absolutely love my TOG. It's a very unique piece in general and somehow just wears better than my 1601.

Owning a 7017, the case size is also spot on. Those couple of mm make all the difference!
