For sale is a pre-owned near mint condition 42mm stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Apollo 15 40th Anniversary. The sale of this Speedmaster, reference 311.30.42.30.01.003, includes Omega double boxes, two extra straps, an extra link, a certificate of authenticity, a wallet of cards, booklets, and papers dated January of 2014. The cards included in the wallet are a master chronometer card, a pictogram card, and the international warranty card. The inside of the box is flaking a bit around the edges. The Speedmaster’s three-register black dial features luminescent pencil hands and luminescent stick indices. The sub dials feature rings of blue, white, and red on this limited edition of 1,971 pieces. The case is affixed with a black tachymeter fixed bezel, two chronograph pushers, and a plexiglass crystal. The case is mounted on a stainless steel bracelet that features both brushed and polished finishing. The brushed stainless steel push-button deployant clasp still retains a few light scratches. The bracelet is in 95% or better condition with no notable imperfections and minimal stretch. In its current configuration the Speedmaster will accommodate a wrist circumference up to 7.35-inches with five removable links. At the heart of this Speedmaster is Omega’s mechanical manually wound caliber 1861, a descendent of the legendary manually wound movement used during the moon landing. This movement has approximately 48 hours of power reserve.
