Hidden clasp…

Bring it back for everything, the ultimate bracelet in my eyes just says Rolex like nothing else, as well as the iconic fluted bezel.

Real shame it’s not done anymore, on the DJ’s it looks incredible.

Are there any other physical things people would opt for if given the option to bring something back?

It is on the president and the smaller Datejust models up to 36mm.

But I agree it’s a fantastic clasp

Still available of course as you say, but should be a cost option for pretty much every watch (just my opinion!)

I like to be able to get the absolute perfect fit on my watches, so the lack of micro-adjustment puts the hidden clasp to the back of class for me.

Which model did you get the bracelet off to fit the Daytona?

Bracelet 63600 (from the DJ36) will fit the Daytona using the DJ36 spring bars.

What Rolex really needs to do is figure out how to make a hidden clap with no tool adjustment … that would be epic

It’s by no means perfect, totally get the adjustment argument I just think it looks great maybe down to the fact the first rolex I saw in the wild was a 36mm DJ with a bi metal hidden clasp, at that point it was so unique and just caught me.

Agree 100%. It was the feature that won me over when I decided to buy my 116234 DJ36

On my GMT with jubilee I definitley prefer having the EasyLink extension and the security of fliplock to the hidden clasp on my DateJust 36. On dressier, lighter watches like the DJ, it is a beautiful bracelet. On sports models, I think Rolex made the right move with the more robust fliplock + EasyLink design.

You are right but you can actually use the original Daytona springbars!

Thanks! I have had this combo for more than 2 years and love it! It’s even more comfortable than oyster and cherry on cake it gets much less scratches!

The 1 ¼ available link takes care of that

You are correct! (I was thinking for the 116710 models with the 63600 - require the different bars)

The spring bars for both the Daytona and DJ36 are the same p/n 23-40200

My wife will not wear a DJ with a hidden clasp. She has had a couple of them and no longer will wear one. Besides not being adjustable without adding or removing links, it's a nail buster. Her comments on this clasp: "obviously designed by a man." It looks like we may have to go with an Oyster bracelet on her next DJ 31.

The 36mm DJ comes with hidden clasp? I thought it came with the 'oysterclasp'

Yeah true, but you still can't beat a bit of good ol' micro-adjustment

I have this same setup. It’s a stunner and the hidden clasp is a sweet spot

Yes. The super Jubilee bracelet is only on the smaller DJs now - 28 and 31.
I think 2021 Rolex changed the bracelet on the DJ36.

Your wife’s nails are too weak. She should be using a nail strengthener.

Agree. It looks nice, but for me it's always too tight or too loose depending on temperature/time of day/pie consumption.

Needs some kind of a super-quick size adjustment function like the SubC bracelet.

This. Or even a tool adjustment would be fine.

That's my only gripe about the super jubilee or president bracelets. They look amazing though

I too would love to see the option of hidden clasp being offered as an alternative by Rolex
