126518LN vs. 116518LN

Been on the waiting list for the Daytona OF Pikachu and never thought I would get "the call".

So last year I ended up buying the 116518LN 2022 model from a reseller which I've truly enjoyed. A few weeks ago, I surprisingly got "the call" for the 126518LN and ended up purchasing it.

Aesthetically, I get the changes Rolex made with the dial markers on the new reference number vs. the old, to go along with other subtle changes. The thought of having a fresh model from an AD is appeasing to me. But also realize the looks of the old dial seems to be more favorable amongst most people.

So the question begs, which one should I sell? Pro vs Con?

Just going off having had 116 and 126, 126 is my choice to keep .. glidelock clasp, other updates I prefer too ..

Bazil appreciate the recommendation. From an aesthetic standpoint, do you like the dial better as well and thoughts on the fit?

I prefer the new version that is more refined especially the smaller subdials and thinner indices plus the bezel ring is so nice. The glidelock is the cherry on cake.

I like that the older model had the black outline on the hour markers. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I like that dial much better. But the new reference has the superior clasp. Glidelock is a HUGE advantage and is worth the upgrade alone.

Personally, if it were me, I would always keep the one you get from the AD. You are the original owner of the watch. You know everything about it and have no risk that it was somehow stolen, damaged, or tampered with. Buying preowned could bring up all sorts of possible issues and too many unknowns.

I never liked the old black hour markers. We requested the new one since it finally has the gold hour markers.
