New Omega's in 2 to 3 weeks
My SA told me that there will be a new speedmaster and a couple new models soon. Hopefully there's some truth to this.

I'd say that the Seamaster Regatta Timer released this week was a new model

I imagine the 40 mm Seamaster is one of them.

Bit harsh! I bet they sell three or four of those Regatta Timers in the first year alone. You could be right that a smaller diver might be a bit more popular. Maybe another go at the Railmaster, too? |

I know this is sacrilege, and I wear my Speedmaster nearly everyday... but I'd love a 40mm version of the Moonwatch - that's 40mm to include the crown guards, so it would wear more like a 38 or 39mm, keep it thin like the current (or less, even better) and keep the 20mm lug width and that fantastic bracelet, and I might never want another watch (I said might ).

I like it a lot but the date kills it. A Speedy shouldn’t have a date IMO

Meh it just seems like a marketing ploy. Dial a hair above 40mm but it's still bigger than the OG speedy.
Omega was making the super quartz watches for pilots/astronauts in the x33 line (the first and second gen were hugely popular - I believe it was the most worn watch in space), I'd like to see more innovation there. |

It wears as good or better than the moonwatch imo. Having the date is very useful along with the adjustable jumping hour hand while traveling across timezones. There's an argument to be made about a GMT function but this one hits in so many ways. And looks fantastic!

That's my issue with the Moonwatch. It wears fine on my wrist, but in darker lighting it just looks large because the black bezel appears to blend with the black dial and just seems like one huge dial. A bit different in sunlight where the dial and bezel separate nicely. |

Omega just posted on their IG about the FOIS. Looks like a new FOIS is dropping 10/3/2024.

Very curious about the release and especially the price 😁
Last time when Omega released the remake October 2012 , FOIS price was set up at : “OMEGA will get this watch delivered to authorized dealers in October/November 2012, at least ‘after’ the 50th anniversary of Wally Schirra’s Mercury Atlas 8 mission. Price is set at CHF 4750.- (including taxes).” https://www.fratellowatches.com/omeg...in-space-1962/ Case 39.7 back in the days I’m not a buyer as I like more the mass produced Moonwatch Speedmaster but never say never … |

My wishlist: - hesalite crystal - 3861 movement with transparent caseback - metal bracelet with microadjustment - keeping alpha hands as it was on the original (I have no idea why Omega messed this up with the re edition) |

Does Omega release new models randomly throughout the year or is there a pattern with releases coming out certain times of the year? Really wondering if there is an update to the seamaster coming besides the new teased speedy

Ever since Omega left Baselworld/Watches and Wonder, they kind of started doing whatever they wanted.
