AP Ceramic Link Push Pins

Hey, I recently acquired the black ceramic double balance. I noticed that some push pins sometimes stick out a tad bit randomly, but can be pushed in with a finger. Almost like there is some play in the rods/metal sleeves. Anyone know if this is a common thing with the ceramic links or if I take to an AD, they can properly press in all the rods again? I bought it in the grey, 'fully stickered' (sold to me as brand new). I randomly came across this video on YT of the white perp. ceramic and noticed at the 2:05 mark that a metal sleeve is out and he casually pushes it in too haha.

Doesn't happen with mine, every single pin stays flush or slightly in. I'd suggest you bring it in. The pins aren't ceramic, they've PVD coated steel I believe, so you risk scratching the ends of the pins if you're not careful (if that's something that would bother you)

Got it, I will see if I can bring it in. Check out this listing on C24 too, it looks like multiple links have the same thing I am talking about. At this point, I think it's just randomly on the ceramic watches and you have to push them in once in a while fully at an AD or watch maker.

This always seemed like a poor design to me....like AP could do better.

AP have a special tool to push them in flush. Pin and sleeves are always difficult to get right compared to screws. See if it still happens after they set it for your properly. My suspicion is that grey dealers might not have the right tool size these and hence that happens. However, you'll nver know unless you bring it in.

For what it's worth PP use this on their steel bracelets

I’ve never had that happen on SS APROs or a ceramic Hublot bracelet. Would take it in.

Yea, I will take to local AD tomorrow to have them go through the pins. As I attached below, I see this one for sale with the same thing. So maybe it's just from shipping around and a dealer that can't properly push in nicely.

They need to be hammered in. Then they won’t stick out at all. They scratch so be careful. I sized my own ceramic bracelets. The little hammer and tool that pushes in pins.
