Incomings for my 1000th Post

Not knowing when or if I would get the call for the Explorer II Black dial, I was able to source this orange dialed Superocean - my first Breitling. Thought it would be a fun watch for the pool, beach, golf, etc. Bought it with the SS bracelet then picked up a rubber strap from a local dealer. Planning to keep it on rubber.

As luck would have it, I got the call for my 226750 the following day!! I love it! It's a big watch but I find it very comfortable to wear. I plan to take these two on my golf trip this weekend. Planning to Explore a few Michigan breweries as well.

Thanks for looking at my 1000th post! It's been a fun couple years hanging out here on TRF and collecting a few watches!

Congratulations in both respects.

Saw one on the wrist of a stranger today. White dial but as always so much better looking in person then the photos, which simply don’t do this stunning watch justice.

Cool Breitling.

Question: You mentioned you sourced your Breitling, I'm assuming it was a grey dealer? Is this grey dealer located near the AD you got your Explorer from?

Congrats Ron, what a fantastic way to celebrate the 1000th post. Both pieces complement each other well, post some pics in the wild during/after your golf outing weekend!

Got it from a dealer here on TRF. Was new. Got the rubber strap at a local Breitling (and Omega) dealer.

Congrats on both milestones. Exp II is one heck of a watch. Love love love my 216570 in black. Doesn’t get enough credit for just how great it is IMO

Congratulations! I also have a SO 42. It is a great watch, use it in the ocean and pool all year long. Keeps near perfect time and runs about +2 per week. I have the rubber with clasp, and it has a glide lock type adjust system. Great Value watch. Sometimes its good to have a less expensive watch that you don't have to worry so much about

The Explorer is beautiful also!

Congrats, both pieces serve their purposes…….should be a fun watch you can wear without too much worry…..Michigan has some nice breweries, I’d recommend Bells

Congratulations. In my opinion the Exp II is highly underrated. Also a great watch to experiment with rubber/NATO/leather straps.

Thanks. There are approx. 350 breweries in Michigan, I've only been to 130 ish including Bell's (Eccentric Café). Many serve excellent food too. Hope to hit 6-7 this week. Another fun hobby! It takes me to places/cities, small towns that I wouldn't think of visiting.

Thanks everybody!!

Congrats. I got the call for my EXP II in the late Spring. I thought I wanted a white dial, but got the call for the black dial. It reminds me so much about what I love about my Sub. I LOVE THIS WATCH. Looks great on the wrist and love the move away from the maxi cases.

Congrats fellow Michigander. I'm a long time black dial Explorer II wearer. One of the best watches ever made.
