Icon14 Zenith Chronomaster Original LE For Hodinkee

The dial is sublime and the overall package is pretty great. The salmon and three grey colors work well, IMHO. Well done Zenith and Hodinkee.

Another great feature: no Hodinkee co-branding!

The 300 pieces sold out in one day….. pics from Fratello.

Looks great. Wish it had been a non-diamond Defy in smaller size, though

I like Zenith and have been a fan of Hodinkee LEs, but this one just doesn't do it for me. The contrast is too much.

To be fair, at least they made the additional effort to have the date wheel match.

I saw it yet decided to pass. Will probably regret that, but future commitments.... Looks really nice to me.

Very nice. I was watching this morning. Hodinkee had 150, Zenith had 150. They were sold out in 30-40 min tops. For those that purchased, enjoy!

I generally like salmon dials, but I found the same thing - something about this one didn't work well for me at all. I can't quite put my finger on it either.

Oh well, different strokes for different folks and guess it saved me $10k!

Not really a fan of this but I also can’t stand Hodinkee so I’m a little biased.

I got one of these, it was a bit of an impulse buy so I'm not sure if I'll keep it. I also have the Antarctique salmon on order so might be a bit salmon overkill...I'll probably flip it and break even.

And I can't stand Hodinkee either, but, thankfully, there's no branding on the watch.

It’s really nice. LVMH Zenith really pulling out the stops for its stablemate Hodinkee.

Not for me but I can appreciate it as a good looking watch. It would be nice to see the LE/SE trend die off and watch companies just make watches for people to purchase and enjoy.

Still appears to be available for sale on the Zenith website for those that still want one, FYI.

This is one of the best looking Hodinkee LEs from the bunch.

Zeniths generally wear large, but sadly I think it would still be way too small for me. I almost want to buy it just to be sure, but I probably won't, this time around at least.

Some of the Hodinkee SEs sell out so fast that I often wonder why the even bother advertising them after the initial announcement.

The 38mm Zenith wears OK lug-to-lug for me, but has a visually smaller presence on the wrist. I find their 40mm to work best for me (but, to split-hairs, 39mm would probably be perfect).

Also, I thought this was the color of salmon:

ah this is interesting, I purchased the poker chip direct from zenith.com after their co branding partner quickly sold out. Typical they are slower to get there e-commerce act together or they allowed Hodinkee to move theirs first it appears.

And yes, incoming !

I managed to cancel my hodinkee order and order one from zenith UK 2 days after the launch so that saves me a couple of grand on import fees
