Older Jubilee on modern Datejust?

Has anyone tried putting an older 62510H with 555B endlinks onto a modern 36mm Datejust? I find the older Jubilee and clasp more comfortable than the current jubilee, wondering if the 555B endlinks would work on a modern case.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know. But what would give me pause is the likelihood of the lugs and watch head being scratched up... especially given the fact that the lugs are now fully polished

Scratches add patina.
I am a fan of the new Datejust dials and my plan would be to have the lugs brushed (like the 5 digits) and put it on a 62510H with 555B end links, assuming those end links will work.
I am not a fan of the modern heavy Jubilee bracelets and clasps.Interestingly enough the 5 digits and modern Datejust watch heads are very similar in weight. The modern Jubilee though is almost double the weight of the 62510H.
