LOL hard no! If I want a watch that feels light and not premium I would go with a cheaper brand.

Sometimes a light weight alternative is a welcome change. Just one of the many attributes of my Pelagos blue.

If I wanted a titanium watch, I’d have one, but I can’t rule it out completely. Maybe I will want one in the future.

My 1680 red feels like it’s titanium so I really don’t care for a titanium timepiece.

I’ve never understood the conflation of “light” equals “cheap.” How many people have ever said to themselves, man I wish this tool weighed more? Also not sure anyone who has ever handled a Journe Centigraphe or Langhe Odysseus has come away thinking they are cheap and plastic toys. I own titanium and stainless and will continue to own both, each has its place as does precious metal.

…would you buy a titanium watch?
Absolutely.
There is nothing cheap about grade 5 titanium, but then again, this forum is rife with hyperbole and unwarranted opinions so bring the disagreement. Lighter is more comfortable, fight me. That’s my unwarranted opinion. |

I have a titanium omega x33 and although it’s a completely different tool watch the titanium Is a welcome relief after wearing my Rolex DSSD JC sometimes. Horses for courses but I would certainly welcome a titanium Deepsea or Sub.

I've already purchased two...and would happily purchase another.
Nothing to do with the weight of the watch...it's more of decision based on aesthetics. Not much difference then when selecting a PM. |

Absolutely! I love the idea of a titanium dive watch for summer. Titanium yacht master on oysterflex would be perfect

years ago i bought a titanium certina (i know, no where near rolex's level). it's ok, but the idea of spending rolex type of money for titanium just doesn't sit well with me, not my cup of tea. give me stainless steel or precious metal all day

I had a mid 90s titanium and rose gold Omega Seamaster with blue dial. Still one of the best looking, best wearing watches I've ever owned. So, yes, I'd be interested, but not the current DSC for other reasons. Outside of weight, another advantage is that it's easy to keep a titanium watch/bracelet looking new. Finally, the lighter is cheaper argument has zero merit.

I own a titanium watch. Haven't worn in years. It's convenient for sports, but the metal looks pretty dull, and the weight is not compatible with the feel of a luxury piece, to me at least. So no, I wouldn't buy a luxury titanium watch.

A regular size, 40-41mm titanium model from Rolex would be a home run for the company.

Yup, would love to see that. My AD has had me down for that one since the Monochrome article was released. Fingers crossed.

Not only yes, but I own one (non rolex) now. I love the weight characteristics for all day wear.
