Rolex 1018 dial?
Did Rolex make a 1018 with gold hour markers?
I haven’t seen this dial variation before but it looks nice https://www.ebay.com/itm/1960s-ROLEX...-127632-2357-0 |

Weird. Mine are all steel. Gold markers and coronet and hands implies a TT or PM watch I thought? And my 1012/1013 markers look quite different.

The indexes being doubled at 3 6 9 is correct too.
Well it sold pretty low given the value of the movement. |

I've commented on this before, usually when folks question the originality of steel 6694s with gold indices and hands. This was very much a look at the time when the watch was made. If you look at IWCs from the same period, a HUGE number of them are stainless with silver dials, but gold indices and hands. I have no secret crystal ball to say this 1018 left the factory in this configuration, certainly the dial and hands from a 1012 or 1013 could have been swapped in, but it seems entirely reasonable, given the era, that this is proper and correct as sold.

Whoever chose that strap didn't think lug widths were a thing. Or spring bars.
It's always a potential red flag for me when a seller clearly doesn't know what they're doing. |

jokes aside, think the band was simply used as a backdrop for the pics. Stating the obvious. |
