Great news from AD - now the wait to 2026!

Delighted to receive the call from my AD who informed me that my application for a customized Voutilainen has been accepted! I was asked to provide as much input as possible for the model, case, dial, color, hands that I want, and share images of inspiration that I have come across. However, the delivery date is 2026

Henceforth starts my Voutilainen journey! I'm soooooo excited now

Will update this thread along the way. Thanks for reading.

Is it a sign of the times that the delivery date doesn’t sound absurd anymore?

I would agree if we were talking Rolex or Patek etc

This is the norm for smaller indies and KV qualifies more than any.

Congrats!

Wow 4 years is a long time. I guess you negotiated a price now, right? Or can it go up over time? Perhaps not a risk for you as you can probably afford it either way, but more for them.

I think it's great. A long lead time and significant non refundable deposit is a great way to weed out the flippers and hype buyers. This crazy market with people paying over msrp for immediate satisfaction is getting old, there nothing wrong with waiting for a great watch if you really want it.... you might even appreciate it more...

Oh, and congrats OP! I'm only a little ahead of you, 2025

Beginning of 2025 at that. What are you thinking in terms of the model?

I had a chance to see one in the flesh recently and it was lovely.

Cool pics and thanks for sharing!

I know how the ISO works but do you know what are the differences between Vingt-8 and 28_TE? I can't really tell...

The GMT looks good too. Honestly I haven't decided yet. Which one did you get please?

Thanks again bro! You have been a great help and source of info! Really appreciate it.

Fantastic 28SC you got there! What a beauty and such a breathtaking dial.

I ordered the GMT-6. To be honest, I struggle to decipher the differences between some of the very similar models.

Great choice! I'm sure it will be brilliant.
Any rendered images to share? Looking for inspiration now.

Looking forward to 2026.

How does the payment go? All now or x amount in 2026 at delivery?

Blue dial goes very well with rose gold case, and the work on the dial is unbelievable

Thinking about switching from RG/blue to Plat/salmon, with similar motif.

Almost all my watches have some astral theme. Not entirely sure why…

I know and, believe me, I don't see anything wrong with it. My comment was completely related to myself, I don't even know if I will be on this planet in 2026...

You know the price on delivery already? I was just wondering what happens with inflation and cost of products for him. Perhaps his gold goes up x 10.

I just spoke with my AD and will they will update me on the pricing after I decide on my watch and configuration. This process may take a while.
