My Greubel Forsey Double Balancier Convexe

So, I've watched GF for a while now...some stuff I really like, others are interesting but not for me. Up until now tho I wasn't really a buyer...but this one really struck me when it was launched recently.

What a fabulous piece. First off the packaging is really top notch and well above anything I've seen from other independents. Frankly it may be the best I've seen from any manufacturer overall.

The watch itself is extremely cool...the shape of the case is wild...when you look down at it...it's round...then you angle it and it's most definitely not.

The finishing is world class. No one has ever put that in doubt or question.

It feels amazing on the wrist, has insane presence...yes it's no joke price wise...but I have to say for an independent to put out something this good is wonderful to see!

Pix to follow and happy to answer any questions, etc.

Assuming you go this because AP wouldn’t give you a double balance right? (Joking lol) looks great!

Congrats on the new watch & wear it in the best of health.

GF Double balancier Convexe vs an MB&F Perpetual Calendar Evo or Sequential Evo.

I know they are very different watches - complication & price but in terms of wearability, finishing, what are your thoughts

What a spectacular piece, just read the Hodinkee article about it.

Congratulations, truly a work of art.

big congratulations!!!

I agree with your experience, the earlier models had desirable elements but imho didn't come together to entice me as a buyer.

the new releases have really developed and come together into something special.

Again absolutely amazing. I usually don't ask anyone about their collection as I don't want people to ask me the same question. But if you have a Dufour or Smith, do you mind sharing the pictures as well. Again, congrats on this piece of art!

I am currently looking at Lederer central impulse chrono and have developed strong feeling about it. What is your opinion of it?

Congratulations. The depth on that dial is amazing. It’s like wearing a miniature city on your wrist.

Superb. I love this watch. I would agree that all the elements come together really nicely. And it fits nicely on your wrist.

Man that is absolutely gorgeous. I got to see one in person a few weeks ago, absolutely stunning irl. Really hard to capture in pictures how beautiful the finishing work is.

Another cool thing, when you wind the watch, the circular part at 11 with the writing on it spins as you wind it...it's kinda satisfying to watch!
