Nice watch to look for.

I'm not an owner (nor handled one) but from videos and pics, I saw only deployant clasps. I don't know if there was a pre-serie with a tang buckle or if a previous owner asked for a tang one instead (comfort) but it may indeed imply a decrease in pricing compared to other second hand pieces.

Enjoy the hunt.

Thanks. the deployant is almost $4k i believe so indeed that impacts the value. the sales told me even if it did come with deployant, it would be in 18k wg rather than platinum, which i don't know if true.

I am leaning to bet the farm that the WG deployant story is BS. Call Henri Stern. They should be able to confirm if the ref came on a deployant or pin buckle and give you the exact price for the platinum deployant. Then negotiate accordingly.

Just to add some evidence, the 5134P that EWC have has got a platinum deployant. They may know as well if the deployant was standard as they have sold a bunch of 5134 in recent years.

Mine has a PT deployant. BTW, it's one of my favorite Pateks and wearing any PT watch is an amazing experience.

thanks for the feedback. any more photos of the watch/wrist shots?

the same store also just got a 5134J for about 10k less and with deployant. however i think i prefer the low key look of the pt more.
