Slow date jump on Sub 11610 LN
Hi guys,
Just found out tonight that the date jumped at 00:05 am. Am I within Rolex's tolerance (dunno what it would be anyway ? Maybe + or - 5 mins ?) To the 116610 owners, what time does your date jumps ? Should I have it checked ? Thanks for your input. |

Mine usually at 12:07, I couldn't really care less since I'm asleep and usually don't need the date then.

I'd not worry about that, you had me thinking when I opened the thread "slow date jump" as in taking a couple of hours to change... which would mean your Submariner had an ETA movement, which is never good lol. Long as it clicks over, any time is a good time!

NO IDEA I used to check these things and have found my Rolex watches to be within about 5 minutes either way. Anymore I just dont care I don't know why it just doesn't seem important to me anymore. I would not give it a second thought
I once had a Rolex where the date actually changed at Noon Flipped that one right away

Anywhere from 4 past to 7 past midnight. I have a Panerai that changes 7 before midnight. My IWC is more consistent, always 1 min past.

Good news, after a quick regulation (the watch was a bit too fast) the date jumps around +2 or +3 mins past midnight.

Well in over 30 years of wearing Rolex watches don't think I have ever checked when the date changed. And now as long as date changes by next morning and I can see the date, then I know I am still alive and breathing thats good enough for me at my mature age.

I've had mine a little over a year and last week was the first time I saw it, only due to coincidence. The first time it was within a few seconds of midnight and the next night I deliberately watched for it and it was almost two minutes after.
In reality as long as it is before I get up in the morning that is ok! |

I work from 4:00pm to Midnight every day, so I am always on the lookout. So far, around 12:00 and 15 seconds, "click."

The main thing is that when it changes, the change is instantaneous.
When it occurs is not critical by any means.

As far as I know there is no standard for when the date should change over to the next day. But as long as it does change why should it matter when it does it.....
