Icon20 Help me buy a Datejust

Hey folks;
I know that this might not be the best forum to post this but I`m desperate! I`m looking for a SS Rolex Datejust post 2000 and WITH papers and serviced! I prefer black dial. But guess what...
Don`t get mad at me, ok?
.
.
.
I only have $3200!
I searched like 30 pages of the sale forum but they are either overpriced or sold!
I also posted on wanted watch forum.
Your help would be highly appreciated.

Check out Bob's Watches. He may have something in your price range.

You're going to have a very hard time finding exactly what you're looking for with that kind of budget. You'll probably have to compromise on one aspect or another.

Do what everyone else does, place a WTB ad here, or is this it?

Edit: Noticed you already did that.

Nix the box and papers and get the best conditioned watch you can, you should be able to pull a SS blackdial DJ for that...

I'd guess realistically you're looking at a 1980 maybe 90s DJ.

The European Watch Company in Boston have a lovely 2003 blue dial DJ with box for $3,300. Might be able to haggle them down, though it doesn't look to have papers.

fwiw, why a post 2000? just get a quick set (if you can) without boxes or papers. your $3200 will get something nice in that range. or get a non-QS and send it to rsc with the $1200 you could save getting an older one. they're really all fairly similar between the late 70's to 2000's.

If you are patient you might be able to grab one. Be sure to keep on the lookout for one being listed.

Thank you all for your informative answers, fortunately I was able to save some change since yesterday and raised my fund to $4500, now I think I can shoot for an Explorer or something....
