New Incoming Today!
Stopped by the Omega Boutique today and picked up a new watch Thanks to Jane and the staff at the Vancouver store for looking after me as always!
The ceramic case (according to the Vancouver Boutique) is laser sculpted from a single piece of ceramic. It's very lightweight and comfortable despite its large size. A better look at the strap. It's actually quite supple and very comfortable. They changed it from the earlier display models that were at the boutiques, the new design is much more supple and not as stiff. The underside is lined with black leather and the area around the adjustment holes is some kind of rubber. The beautiful in-house 9300 It's only been with me for a few hours, but i'm very impressed with it so far! The fit and finish is superb and i'm more impressed with the strap than I thought I would be. Omega's in house movements are in my opinion some of the nicest and most beautiful production movements in the industry. My only complaints so far is that it doesn't have a screw down crown, and is only water resistant to 50m because of that. Overall I think Omega did a fine job with this watch, though i'm still a big fan of the classic

DSOTM!!!! That's a TRF first!!!
I am dying to see this! I hope the lightness of the ceramic case will somewhat mitigate the issues I have with the thickness of the SS/SS and Leather/SS versions. Congrats!

Absolutely amazing! That's a beautiful watch...the detail is great. Love the red stitching and leather underneath the strap and display case back. Great photos since most of us haven't seen the DSOTM in person. Thanks for sharing your awesome collection! Enjoy them all and especially DSOTM!

So gorgeous.....
Have you tried the 44 Speedy in steel? If so, how does the height compare to the ceramic model? |

Whoa...THat box looks a bit different than what I remembered..Amazing collection...Glad you still have the Hour vision...love that Patek... but all eyes go right to the bottom right corner there! I wonder if it would be the same if it were in the back row? It just looks so substantial...yet I agree, very very light on the wrist because of the ceramic...I was playing with the DSOM last month in NYC... tempted by the idea of being the first canadian to have one...guess that ship has sailed. Hats off to you sir! |
