new Rolex line--> Rappers

What's up with the new models? Blinged to the max.

I am so glad I picked up my black/red GMT last month.

We are. All over the forum. General consensus. Badly done on the part of Rolex.

I think the new GMT is a step in the right direction and a nice improvement. Now all they need to do is create the different bezel colors.

The YMII, well......

Maybe I will like it better if I know what all the stuff does.

Or maybe not.

Mark,

To be perfectly honest, even if you finally do learn how to operate that watch and learn all its functions, you will probably NEVER use them....something like the He valve of the SD.

Only, in this case, it's gone quite a few steps further UP!!

Lots of threads/input about this topic but... I just spent some time on the Rolex website and all I can say is.... blech! What the heck

Makes me think I'd better go buy my grail DJ before it becomes extinct and way overpriced. At this rate, the classics are gonna be appreciating in value exponentially. Art is a tricky proposition. Methinks Rolex has a bit to learn in that department. As usual, JMHO...

NOt keen on the GMT II being replaced with the new supercase SS GMT with triplock. I like the option of a lighter, lower profile sport watch. If I want a heavier, clunkier sport watch, I'll go for a Sub or SD. Now Rolex has removed that option, except for the Explorere II which they'll probably also phase out.

Even though the Exp IIs are my favorite, in my opinion, Rolex will phase them out within the next several years. Several ADs have told me that the Exp II are the least selling Sport models. I as well like the slimmer fit, proven reliability of the GMTs and Exp IIs.

Agreed.....the Exp-II is the least selling sports Rolex and also has the least resale value. But if you have no plans on selling it, then it's one helluva watch!!
