Help deciding - 5980R, 5726 1A, 5712 1A

Trying to decide between these three Nautilus models and wanted to ask the opinion of the forum. There is no big gap in my current collection, so this is not expected to fill any particular need smile My criteria is that the watch needs to be a good collectible, highly desirable in the marketplace, and one that can hold its charm/value over time. Something that can be worn and not just stored in a vault. The 5980R is definitely more formal and dressier than the other two and I loved the gold/brown combo. The 5726 was very clean. The blue on the 5712 is gorgeous.
Just for reference I have a 5146G (annual calendar) and an 5167A from PP. Also have a AP Dual time - steel bracelet with black dial.
Appreciate your views....

My first thought was 5726, but I can see you've already got an AC. So, in order to make your collection more diverse, I'd go for 5990. I know it's not on your list, but IMHO it would be a great addition. Alternative choice: 5980.

5980 (you pick the flavor).

But then again, 5990 is also an option...just saying.

5712/5726

Somehow the asymmetrical design on the 5712 throws me off. The seconds dial being a different size than the date circle. The cut off marker for 8 and then no corresponding marker for 4.
Not sure if this will bother me long term or not..

I do like the blue dial color and the fact that 5712 is true to the sporty nature of the Nautilus line.

As someone noted the 5726 1A is the same complication as my 5146.

I do like the 5990, but haven't seen it in person and not sure how long the wait is going to be for one.

5980R NO contest. Followed by the 5726 (future purchase for me). The 5712 dial just doesn't do it for me.

While I really like the 5712 I have to go with the 5980r here. The combination of the warm brown/copper looking dial along with the Rose gold just works so well together. Looking forward to pics of whatever piece you decide on!

5980R since you already have a SS aquanaut and an AC complication.

Thanks for the input guys. Seems like 5980R is the winner. Will post when I close the deal. It is crazy how my budget has increased to somehow justify the spend :-)

Assuming budget is no issue, 5980R obviously, provided you are comfortable with the size and the top-heaviness of this watch. It's just magnificent.

What about the 5960R? I found one that is previously owned - still more $ than a new 5980R, but seems like more watch for the money - chrono+AC. Thoughts?

Definitely 5980R if budget permits. It's a stunner in real life - the pictures don't really show the true beauty of the watch.

I love the 5980's where the chrono sub dial is the same color as the dial, I like less when it's a different color, but still a very cool watch, but my choice would be 5712, 5726 and 5980, but no wrong answer here, all are great
