Just pulled the trigger!

Finally I pulled the trigger and bought a GMTIIC from DAVIDSW. Just did the wire transfer and waiting for the beauty arrival. Very excited. My first Rolex ever.

Some questions I want to ask here as a rookie.

1, I bought a mint used GMTIIC, so the warranty card has been named and stamped under other people's name. Will my local AD adjust the bracelet for me without charging me?

2, I know somebody said the Rolex's warranty is non-transferable. I dont expect that I need the warranty anyway. However, did anybody have a hard time to give their pre-owned Rolex the warranty work?

Thanks a lot.

Congrats!!! Just received a Pepsi GMT II from David yesterday. My AD adjusted the bracelet for me for free because I have purchased other watches from them. They usually charge for the service though.

Congrats. Some ADs will do it for free and some may charge up to $20.....no big deal.

Congrats on one of my favorite Rolexes! It's not hard to adjust the bracelet. Just need the right screwdriver. Personally, I'd rather do it myself than let an AD do it.

I think it's a non-issue. I had a Sub 16610LV last summer that was near the end of its original 2 year warranty. I was the third or fourth owner, at least. I sent it to the RSC in Dallas as it was running outside COSC. They told me it was basically out of warranty, but they serviced it for no charge. This tells me two things:

1) RSC does not really care if you're the one that originally bought the watch, e.g. the warranty follows the watch and
2) They are generous with warranty work if it's close to the warranty timeframe

Enjoy your watch! DavidSW is a true gentleman.

Great watch by a great seller!~!

To answer your questions, some AD's may charge to size the bracelet if you didn't purchase from them...However, with the right size screw driver, it's a simple task to undertake!

As for the Rolex warranty. It's only good for two years from the purchase date...Should the need arise within that time frame, a warranty not in your name may be difficult, but not impossible...Dallas RSC seems to be OK with warranty work outside the original purchaser.
I'd suspect you won't need it though....

Enjoy the new watch, it looks great!

Adjust the bracelet yourself.. Like someone on this forum said to me a few months back "no one is going to be as careful with your own watch as you will be" the screwdriver cost like €3.00

Welcome to the wonderful world of Rolex! There's no going back...... Haha

Do the sizing yourself. It's easy and all components of Rolex are built well.

Cheer!! Pics please! ; )
