Does this 116710BLNR look legit?
I'm contemplating purchasing the below. Are there any glaring issues?

Two glaring issues are, 1. you don't trust this seller, and
2. you don't don't know how to tell the difference between a $400 fake watch and a $10,000 Rolex . how do know they aren't going to bait and switch you? |

This is a bit harsh for someone asking for a little help from more experienced members of this forum. First, the OP never stated that he didn't trust the seller. I assume his line of thinking is trust, but verify. Second, the insinuation that the OP can't distinguish between a "$400 fake watch and a $10,000 Rolex" is totally unfounded and insulting. Hopefully other members will be a bit more helpful. Just my 2 cents.

2. It is true the OP cannot tell the difference between a fake watch and a gen watch...so how is that unfounded? Because something is true makes it insulting now? He is gambling his money away. I am pointing the known true risks to him, because no matter what WE say, HE is the one at risk. |

I'm still adsorbing the wisdom of the forum experts and finding it fascinating. Particularly on the authenticity side of things.
Notwithstanding my relative ignorance, that BLNR looks convincing to me. It would certainly give me confidence to have a closer look at the watch and the seller. However, and my reason for contributing here, if for any reason, even if not the fault of the seller, there is a doubt in the mind of a prospective buyer, there is no doubt. If in doubt, don't. No matter what the reason. Fake or (very likely IMO) real, the universe doesn't want you to buy this watch. There will be another BLNR along soon. There always is. |
