New Teddy Baldasserre store
Checked it out today in Ohio. Very nice shop and much needed. Lots of pieces you don’t ordinarily see. Tried on the following brands:
Glashutte Sea Q - Real beauty tough sell at over $10,000 though. Grand Seiko Chrono - Beautiful case bracelet felt super cheap. Omega lots of omega loved em all. Doesn’t carry zenith in the store which was disappointing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Very cool, congrats to Teddy.
What brings you to the conclusion the SeaQ should be a sub $10k watch? |

I just said it’s a tough sell at 10k when the sub no date retails for $9100 and lots of other well known watches are less. Need to really know your stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've bought a couple inexpensive watches from him. He's running a good business.

I’ve been following Teddy for a while. It’s gotta be tough opening a business these days, but wish him the best.

If the SeaQ and Submariner are side by side in the case, you bet I'm going with the Crown. Cheers ! |

I love the Submariner, but when you hold and examine a SeaQ next to a Sub, they really aren’t on the same level. The date complication on the GO is second to none. Here’s the thing though, because I agree the Sub is certainly more coveted at that price point. I’m not sure if Teddy discounts at the brick and mortar retail level, but a GO can be found from an AD at 20% off (with a little work) which makes it less out the door than a Submariner sans wait. Where the GO gets crazy is in the secondary market. I was looking at a two tone mint SeaQ from a TRF trusted seller for around 8k with no tax. That’s ridiculous value. Of course, the depreciation lends credence to the point that a GO at retail is indeed a tough sell. I think it’s a much better watch, but I have no delusions that people with 10k looking for a diver will choose the Sub 9/10 times if it’s available. I too wish Teddy the best. For a young guy, he does a great job of being appealing to all age demographics. He might not be your favorite, but no one really hates him and he’s not polarizing. He’s good at his job. |

GO is generally better watchmaking than Rolex, but I probably would also go Sub at retail.
