Icon5 What to replace 126618LB with?

I'm selling my new reference yellow gold sub (126618LB) and looking to replace it with something on oyster flex instead. I love the watch but I already have another full gold piece (228235 DD40) and just don't feel the need for two full gold watches anymore. I like the idea of a rubber band for my "sportier" watch. I don't like the Yachtmaster (already owned a full yellow gold one in the past so don't want another one) and I'm not a fan of the Skydweller. Does that leave the Daytona as the only other viable option? I do like the Daytona I'm just afraid it may be too small since I'm a bigger guy. I tried one on and it felt nice and was very comfortable but it did wear much smaller than the Sub and even the DD40 which is technically the same case size. Thanks for feedback and opinions in advance!

Sounds like you’re out of options on the OF end lol

Maybe put some good aftermarket rubber straps on your gold sub?

Also considering AP on rubber strap as another option

It's a shame you're not a Sky Dweller fan. Mine on OF is my favorite Rolex I've owned. Visually it's striking as well.

I know you said you don't like the YM but have you considered the 42mm WG on OF? Otherwise, Daytona is your best bet if you're definitely sticking with Rolex.

I think Daytona on OF would be great watch to go for … yes might be a bit small on you as you say bigger person, but well worth a try ..

What about buying a Rubber B for your Submariner?

I was thinking the same thing. OF YM and it was not for me. Then the SD on OF and something is holding me back. Then I thought Daytona as well, but I still feel it’s too small for me. That pivot turned me to AP rose or yellow gold. I am still undecided. The nice thing is that AP precious metals have dropped substantially

Correct. The Daytona is your only other option if you're dead set on OF.

I used to own the 116618 LB and sold it about 18 months ago with zero regrets since.

I replaced it with the WG GMT meteorite. That said,
I prefer my PM Daytonas the most.

Thanks for all the feedback I'm between RG Daytona on OF or RG AP Royal Oak Chrono on rubber going to try both on again and then make a decision

Daytona on OF - will keep its value the best out of the Rolex OF models (I think).

I'm 6'3" with an 8" wrist and my Daytona fits great and does not wear small.

Take a look at the VC RG 4500 (or 4520). 41mm and you get the benefit of the excellent strap system, so you can go blue rubber strap or full RG bracelet if you have the hankering, or calf for a full on audible.

One of my favorite pieces! Gorgeous and having multiple bands that come with it is great for versatility.

This is unreal - love how the rubber puts it under the radar and the average Joe won’t know what VC is. Been on the list for a year, got at least another year to go!

Amazing watch. I’m holding out for the next iteration, hoping for hacking seconds movement and larger date text/window.

The OG Oysterflex RG YM is superb and is a very different model from the all gold YM.

That’s the OF Rolex for me.
