Our Take
This vintage Oyster Perpetual Date Reference 1500 boasts a rare and striking mosaic blue shantung dial, resembling the texture of woven silk. With a mid-size 34.5mm diameter, it offers a classic and timeless look on the wrist. While it wears slightly smaller than the 36mm Oyster Perpetuals and Datejusts from the same period, its versatile design makes it a perfect fit for a range of wrist sizes.

This specific ref. 1500 is in excellent pre-owned condition. The case and bracelet remain sharp and in excellent shape. The bracelet has very little stretch considering the watch's age. It also received a new acrylic crystal and gaskets, ensuring it passed water resistance tests. There is some slight oxidation present on the hands. A complimentary leather watch pouch is included with the purchase.
