1970 Tudor Submariner 7016/0 Stainless Steel - 1 Year Type Dial + Lollipop Hand

Available for sale a remarkable timepiece that perfectly blends vintage charm and robust functionality - the Tudor Submariner in stainless steel, reference 7016/0. This watch, in an enticing vintage condition, is a testament to Tudor's commitment to quality and timeless design.

The Tudor Submariner 7016/0 is a piece of horological history, beloved by collectors for its unique character and reliable performance. The stainless steel case and bracelet have matured beautifully over the years, enhancing the watch's vintage appeal while maintaining its durability and strength.

The standout feature of this watch is its early shield dial. It is a scarce dial configuration with lasted only approximately a single year (1970), please do a little research on this, it with take you down a very interesting path of this rare and underrated early dial configuration.

The serial number on the movement starts with 742xxx dating this watch to exactly 1970, correct to this dial layout which occurred for approximately only 1 year.

The Details:

Case: 40 mm Stainless steel case showing honest signs of previous wear with no major distractions to mention

Dial/Hands: Original Tudor black dial in very attractive condition with nice even patina forming on all of the markers. The dial reminds original and untouched, it has never been touched up. Hands are as attractive original with nice patina forming on the lume. The hands remain original and untouched.

Movement: ETA 2483 movement which has been serviced by our watchmaker and is currently running perfect +/- 0 seconds per day.

Bracelet/Strap: Original Tudor stainless bracelet reference 7836 with 280 endlinks showing honest signs of previous wear. The bracelet has very little stretch given its age, it feels incredible on the wrist with no distracting areas / kinks as typically seen. The bracelet will fit a 7.6 inch wrist.

Crystal: Omega Acrylic in attractive condition with a few light marks as expected given its age.

Accessories: Watch comes watch only, it does not come with box or papers.
