Omega SMP Tokyo vs Summer Blue

I've got the tokyo blue with the white dial and blue bezel. Am seriously considering trading it for the summer blue. But part of me is thinking I already have the better one. Ah, who am I kidding, I'll probably wind up with both lol. Anyone with the summer blue already?? Any experiences with it you can share?

Saw it release online and went to the boutique on Oxford Street to see it in-person. It's fantastic. I've never owned an Omega before but have been loosely interested in the SMP for the last few years after a friend purchased the black dial variant. I have to say the dial is pretty mesmerizing! Ended up getting it a few days later after chatting with the staff.

I don't think it would function well as an "only" watch, but as a broader piece in a full rotation it's just pure fun. Brings a little bit of summer to a gloomy London for me.

Here's a pic off the Leica:

I would keep the Tokyo. Give it some time and wear what you have. It is a cool watch and one that is not seen often.

I love the white dial of the Tokyo. Plus you have an open case back. It's my favorite 300m. I would get the 75th 300 Heritage and keep the Tokyo.

Your Tokyo is the best version of the SMP, in my opinion. I love the summer release, but that white+blue bezel is badass.

Well I traded my Tokyo and bought the Summer Blue. And I'm here to report, I still have no idea which I like better. Maybe the Tokyo by a slim margin. The light blue indices on the Summer Blue are out there, different, in a way that I feel I wasn't ready for but could warm up to over time. Let's see.

I finally got my Tokyo 300m a week or two back, I don't see how any 300m could be better. Who knows? I may have bought yours @IR201 !!

I still am planning the a summer blue anniversary piece, but it will be the 300 Heritage, which I think is the sleeper of the lot. Have my deposit in, just waiting for my turn.

Summer blue was really impressive when I saw it recently at the OB. Better than the press pics, BUT, the Tokyo is great. I'd roll with that one and enjoy!

Hopefully it is mine, that would be so cool. I'd be glad to know it went to a collector. Though, given what it is, it would probably be hard for it NOT to have gone to a collector. Feel free to PM me about it and we can confirm. I do have to agree with you, it is the best IMO. Wear in great health!
