Need some thoughts on this 14060

Hi all, looking to dip my toes into vintage pieces with this neo-vintage 14060. The watch comes as is, naked, with 9 links. Seller is asking 10k USD. Any thoughts on this? Am I overpaying for the condition or is it a little too rough?

I'm looking at the lugs and the pinholes (almost sticking out). Overpolished perhaps?

The bezel looks soft as well.

Is it just the watch for $10k?

No box and papers? Booklets?

If so, I'm saying it is overpriced.

I've recently bought full-set NOS/Unworn 14060s (and 16610s) for not a lot more.

[EDIT] I just looked on Chrono24 (not the cheapest website, but convenient) and there a several better examples for sale (with box and papers) for similar money.

.
NOS 14060 at 12k? I see most regular 14060s already at 10-12k euro/usd.

Yeah, they are now dude - although a nice watch with box and papers/full set can still be bought for €12K if you take your time and search.

I took a gamble during lockdown last year and bought a few NOS sets - ranging from €10k to €12k (Euros) in the hope they would be the 'next thing' to increase - and thankfully, they appear to have done just that.

I took my time finding the best prices I could - to give me a head start.

Purely 'gambling' some of my savings as they weren't earning any interest in the bank.

Yeah, tritium dials and hands look very nice - better than the later versions.

I still think you can do better for the money though - your choice of course.

Be lucky!

Nice dial and hands, but very soft, over-polished case. Big pass. And yes, it’s overpriced.

I’d much rather pay a grand or two more and get a much better condition watch. Once you’re in the neighborhood of $10K, stretch your budget a bit and look elsewhere.

Dial and matching hands patina is nice but the case is overpolished
I would pass and try to find one with a better case

Agree that the dial and hands patina are the most attractive part of this 14060. Case looks acceptable to me!
