116719 vs 116655
Curious what people's thoughts are. These two are finally joining the family around the Christmas holiday. Pepsi was about $5k more than YM.
Might keep both, might not. But curious what everyone's thoughts are. Very different pieces. Also why do you prefer one over the other please. |

Tried on new YM few weeks back and was going to get but was very underwhelmed. Get the BLRO!
Ok I see you are getting both. Let me expand my friend: The dial on the 116655 was quite flat and had no pop to it. The strap was quite strange and didn't fit well like an AP ROO for example. It was just strange and not flush at all. I was underwhelmed and went to get it that day and left without it. It looks great in pics on internet and IG but in person not so much. The BLRO is a GMT and classic Rolex. So whether BLRO, BLNR or 718 they are all great daily wearers and lookers. Cheers,

Thanks Ken,
Good to know my friend. I may sell the YM or let he wife wear it! Haha, I will probably loose some money on it as is the case with jumping on such a new PM piece. I'll still wear both though to try haha. Hope you've been well! C |

Thanks Tom.
I got both because I can. And both speak to me hahaha. But I favor the BLRO. Curious what my friend @QueueCumber thinks about this poll. |

I love how much people love the BLRO. I love it to. Being a guy that has owned the 1675, 16750, 16700, 16710 and the blnr. I love the Rolex GMT hahaha.
But after seeing the YM in the metal a few times at my AD I have to say I'm just taken by it...yes many don't like it in person. And the OF strap is love/hate. But I just love the look. I think the Gilt matte dial, the bezel and the strap all just work together really well as a good under the radar. I think I'll take a bath if I ever let it go but I can wear it soon and "daily beat" it knowing I'm going to lose some coin either way and can just rock it. It's super casual and I prefer it to my old 5167R. |

I prefer the BLRO and that would be my choice by a long shot. I love gmts, love blue and red, love white gold.

If they release the YM with matching bracelet then we have something to talk about. For now though the blro is hands down my choice between the two.

That's a nobrainer for Pepsi by a landslide IMHO
I tried the RG YM on and it was a little underwhelming. Smurf, Pepsi and Platona are currently my three favorite rolexes |

I tried on the BLRO with a fellow TRFer last week here in Singapore. He loved it and, I suspect, will be the proud owner of one within the next six months. Me? Nah. It is a beautiful piece but I would rather three SS models. There was something with the bezel that just doesn't pop like the original Pepsis that I've seen in pre-owned dealers.
I love the new YM in pictures but never seen one in the flesh yet. I desperately want to love it because I'm hoping that it will be my first PM Rolex.

The funny thing with me about all WG Rolex pieces are they are a love hate.. The problem is simple. I love that they aren't rhodium plated and that they are pure throughout the whole piece... but there is no avoiding that weird tinge of yellow gold you can see. When comparing a WG next to a SS rolex the WG always looks a little dirty.... and it has always bothered me. Part of me wishes for the 60th anniversary of the Pepsi (1954-2014) rolex would have done platinum...which shines like nothing else. Now granted I got over this and hence... but it still will always bother my OCD WIS tendencies. just my 2 cents. But alas I'm very happy the pepsi was released in a PM.... for me the YM speaks to me more in person. It met every expectation and the GMT was a let down, bezel shade was more purple and the white gold looked dirty... but alas both are coming home and both are cool. Funny how much trf and the watch community loves the BLRO though. And rightly so. I waited this long simply so that prices could stabilize...but I couldn't/can't wait for YM prices to balance out.. that's how much I like it. The YM at 24k and the Pep-C at 28k both make sense to me.

I'm not a fan of the BLRO unless you find one with a RED bezel. 95% of the BLRO's I've seen have a pinkish salmon hue which is blasphemous when dropping 20-30k. I've seen only ONE red one in person, but it was at a Rolex boutique location and I'm not paying full price for something I can get for 25k.

The YM is a over price watch. The vote would have probably been closer if you would have chosen another watch. Some people may like it but it's way to high of price. Could have been in the 16k range and done better.

For me, it would not even be close...the BLRO is my grail and the YM is not even on my radar. So there you go.
