Rolex 116710 BLNR bezel change

Hi, I really love the look of the GMT 116719 BLRO. Unfortunately it is a bit too expensive for me. Does anybody know whether if it's possible to buy the bezel and gmt hand separately and change it with the BLNR? If yes, where can I buy it?

It is impossible to buy parts from a 116719 BLRO to fit any 116710 from Rolex.

The way the bezel is made and fitted is different on PM to SS, for that reason-otherwise, everyone would be doing it.

And for people who thinks this is BS and Rolex is lying about the 116719 not fitting a 116710, you can look to GolfPunk's experience with Daytona WG bezel. Rolex is making changes to not have WG interchangeable with SS.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 116619 (sub) is going to change to make the blue non-interchangeable in the future.

Would doubt that even if they would fit crazy prices for the bezel and insert.

GolfPunk's "experience" is a bad experience but the problem is elsewhere. There have been no change around bezel on Daytona 116509. Model changed from 116509 to 116509H in 2008 but that have nothing to see with bezel.

Most probably Golfpunk have bought a 116519 WG bezel (for the leather version of Daytona), and this isn't the same for 116509.

Regarding 116619, all TRF members know that the blue bezel can be mounted on a SS 116610. It have been done and showed already.

Finally for BLRO 116719 bezel on a SS 116710, nobody knows . So maybe it's possible , maybe not.
Rolex isn't lying as Rolex didn't communicated at all on this subject.

The real problem is to source a blro bezel , not to mount it ...

I'm not sure if there has been a change to make the Smurf bezel non-interchangeable, but they are different now. I have a V series and compared it to a random serial number at my local AD. The bezel was visibly different (thicker). Does this mean that it won't fit on a SS sub or older Smurf? I have no idea. What I do know is that we held them side by side and there WAS a difference in thickness.

Well, as you've stated. At this point without having the experience with this yet. The issue could be both, sourcing and mounting.

As for the op, there is a reason these are called grails....mostly unobtainable for most, the desire is great but the cost is high. Such is life.

If it could fit on a BLNR, the BLRO bezel would sell for more than $20,000

You may not be able to find a rolex made and authorized bezel but you can get them custom. It may be not up to rolex standard of craftsmanship but it can be done. People are copying the 116758-SURU all the time now. They buy a normal YG GMT II and get the bezel and diamond work custom and its the same watch. They replicate it for 25k while the original is an 80k watch.
