Dark side of the Moon...To rocket or not to rocket?
Very tempted to pick up a DSOM for my first speedmaster. Trying to decide which version to go for. The rocket is super cool, but is it a bit gimmicky? Is the rocket version worth the extra cost for the new movement, finishing, and deployment?
I tried both on yesterday and really liked both of them, just trying to decide which one to go for. |

I like both but prefer the new version because of all the added whistles.

I have the non-rocket. Wish I had the rocket.

I have non rocket, which is the true 50th anniversary of Apollo 8. I like the new one as well, but not worth trading the og 50th anniversary for imo. Can't go wrong with either.

Love the DSOTM. Have the OG and also think the rocket is just a bit gimmicky (and I typically want the updated versions of my references- but not this one). Beauty is, you can pick the one you prefer.

I like and have owned the original. The new model is nice but not worth the premium for me.

I struggle with the same dilemma; want the rocket, don’t want to pay for it lol.

Just get older.
You won’t be able to see the rocket to save your life. It’s not the only missile you lose, but I won’t elaborate. |
