Holy accuracy

now first off as many of you guys know I am not that picky when it comes to my watches. They get scratched whoop dee do! They could be fast 5 mins a month and I really wouldnt care. I do keep an eye on it every month or so just to make sure that they are at least running ok (being fast or slow 30mins a week or month can't be a good sign)

So I decided to give my trusty DJ a check with time.gov and guess what?

Its running SLOW for the first time in its life (or so I am guessing) the last time I sync'd the time was on Nov30-Dec1 to change the date, at the same time I adjusted the time which was running fast less than 1 second a day.

Today when I checked, it was running 4 seconds slow over the span of 2 MONTHS!!!!

So now, not only is this my oldest watch (have had it since 1990), most sentimental (my mom bought it for me to start a collection, as she is a big watch collector) it is now the most accurate!!!!

You've inspired me...

Roger to check my Perpetual.
Excellent photo with good depth of field and no flash glare on the crystal.

Gotta love Rolex accuracy!

My Explorer and GMT never seem to vary more than 4 seconds, and I hardly check them anymore

Good accuracy, Roger....but I'm not surprised....after all, it has the same 3135 movement as the Sub-date, SD and YM (40 mm).

Not really anal about being spot on accurate, but today most movements can be tuned to the COSC standards with a bit of patience.
