Will Anything Wow Me Like GMT IIC?

I got my first Rolex yesterday care of DAVIDSW -- a SS GMT IIC! I am just blown away. I own several other watches, but this by far is the best peice. I can feel a passion building for additional Rolex. Will anything dazzle me like the GMT IIC? I've tried various models out at different ADs and found that the traditional dress watches feel too small @ 36mm and below. Subs and SD seem too similar to the GMT. Maybe a white dial? I guess that leaves the white Daytona or Exp II. Any thoughts/recommendations?

Try the DSSD.

It incorporates all the latest improvements that you are enjoying in the GMTIIc but the bezel gives it a completely different function and the size and weight will be a completely different experience.

They should complement each other nicely.

Has to be one of the best modern watches made by Rolex. So you could go vintage, say a 1680 submariner?

Congratulations on a fine watch the SS GMT2c is a fantastic watch - really versatile and one that I know will always be with me. You found the best place to start IMO
So...where to from here? Well, do you want to stick to SS or do you want to add some gold? I would start with that question. If you want to add some Gold...TT or all G? Then you can look at some sports watches (your preference) with gold....Subs, another GMT, etc. Or if another SS then yes the Explorer II - Have you considered the Plat/SS Yachtmaster?
The list is endless
Good luck

Congrats on a great looking watch. I know how much I'm enjoying mine. I don't see how Rolex can make that watch any better than it already is!!

The II-c is a tough act to follow! Between your two choices, I would have to say the white Daytona would be a more formidable match to your GMT.

I'm starting to lean Daytona. I love the value of the Explorer, but not sure if I can say I love it. I do find myself constantly staring at the GMT IIC on my wrist though! You are right that it will be a tough act to follow! This watch will give my heart plenty of time to wait for a reasonably priced SS white dial to come along.

I recommend the DSSD just got it on Sat and it's like nothing else, My next Rolex is gonna be the Yacht Master TT white dial. Have you considered this? , let me tell you what happen to me, while at the AD on Sat I tried on a Daytona
and the I tried on the Yacht Master TT White dial. I Immediately notice that the Daytona looked small compared to the Yacht master and it was because of the bezel, The Yacht Master bezel makes the Daytona look like a smaller watch. While I love the Daytona , The Yacht Master TT white dial was screaming my name!
