Last week weds i bought a watch to this guy name drew bunkley..bought a watch from him and paid him through paypal..its was a small amount...we agreed on a next day delivery if i pay extra...which i did..i saw his post which is not too much and seems more intresting..he posted pics of his watch and vacation trips...He posted to watches in the Sales forum 2 Tag Heuer...I bought the other one for $825 ship next day...I paid through paypal..3 days have past and no sign of the package...tried to email him and he didnt respond...i ask some fellow members to help me to email the guy and inquire about the other watch..i just wanna see if he will respond..true enough he did but to my surprise he answered to their inquiries but never got back to me...so i already have a feeling its a scam...so contact my bank and paypalthis what paypal told me

1. If the item was bought off ebay...you are not covered with buyers protection..they will try to recover the money..but they cant guarantee..if the fund is still on paypal account they can get you the money back..if the funds are taken out then you will not get your money back..

So i decided to cover both ends...i called my bank and tell them the story...after more than a week i got my money back...and it came from my bank ont from paypal...

I have a lady who bought me a watch 2 days ago who works from the law enforcement who helped me trace this guy..and good enough this guy has some arrest in the past...I tried to contact the guy whos name appears in paypal and he did called me and told me that he never authorized anybody to use his account..so basically what happened is somebody was using his email account but the bank account where the money is going to is not his...So just to inform eveyone here just be very very careful with all your transactions..buy from a reputable seller with impeccable feedbacks and references...ask the moderators whos who to trust..becuase you will never know who yuor dealing with...

Wow, Oscar....thanks for the warning. I'm VERY glad that you got your money back. So PayPal did nothing to help? That is a concern.

Oscar I am so glad to hear you did finally get your money back. From my dealings with you I would never hesitate to buy a watch from you. You are one of the good guys on TRF.

(We just can't seem to meet in the middle on price)

Wow, all this for a $825. watch. Goes to show you the scammers are out there even for the inexpensive watches not just the big score expensive watches. Watch your back and do your homework on buyers and sellers as these guys are just waiting for someone to put their guard down. Glad you got your money back.

i know...$850 headache not worth it....so be very careful who you dealing with...because no matter how careful you are..you can still be scam in anyway...

I know...I really want to thank the mods and Steve...they could have banned him long time but i told them not too because i might cut my only communication with the guy...not till i got my money back...and 2 days ago i did...so bye bye!!! Thanks guys!!! this forum really rocks!!!
