Gmt 2 pepsi
Do you think Rolex will ever increase production of this impossible to buy ( new watch). I know there are plenty on the secondary market. I want this watch so badly I hate the aluminum bezel I currently have. The fading colors drive me crazy

Go and speak to your AD, get your name on their register and see what happens. Other than that, you're going to have to go grey. Rolex won't be increasing production enough to for everyone to have one with ease, I'm afraid. |

It'll never be an easy to get watch.
I'd speak with your AD and see where you stand. Otherwise, as said above, bite the bullet and go grey. You could start enjoying it this week. |

Since I have both watches, I can tell you that when it comes to colors, you will definitely be disappointed with the new Pepsi. The colors of the 16710 are much "brighter" than the ceramic one. from a distance the bezel sometimes looks much too dark, almost black.

Go to an AD that sells pre-certified Rolex and see if that helps up get it at retail sooner.

If yours is a vintage 1675 Pepsi I would speak with an AD that offers used watches. There are many collectors that desire that watch so you might be surprised how an AD could make a new BLRO materialize if your trade was a part of the deal.

I went grey. I didn't feel like playing AD games, and a dump truck could run me over tomorrow, so at least I got to enjoy the ceramic BLRO for a short time instead of dreaming about it in death, and my kid will inherit it and remember me. Okay that was a little dark and improbable, but still possible. I think you get my drift.
The premium you pay going grey, divided by months that you'd have to wait from an AD (say 60) doesn't translate to a whole lot in the big picture. I love my 16710. The colors of the 126710 are much more muted. If you can, keep your 16710 and add the new one. On days I want bright and "popping" I wear the 16710. On days I want more subdue, I wear the 126710. I can't lie, I do prefer the bracelet and heft of the 126710, but I also love how the 16710 just melts into my wrist and I forget it's there. if your insert has faded more than you like, you can send it in for a new more "vibrant" one or try and source one somewhere. |

It is frustrating. I decided to go gray & don't regret my decision. It is a stunning piece & gets more wrist time than my other 7 pieces combined.

Why would they increase production, if anything they should lower it. Just trade your current one towards a new one.

Feel the exact opposite. The ceramic Pepsi bezel is ugly, with dark and muddy colors. I’d take a faded aluminum all day long. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have my doubts that Rolex will increase the production of this watch. It is an exceptional timepiece, and I am very fortunate to have a wonderful authorized dealer. The ceramic bezel is a joy to behold, as it changes colors in different lights. It is truly unique.

Be cool if they would increase production, so everyone who wants one can get one.
Will they increase production? Not anytime soon. |

It's not impossible to buy, it's just very difficult to obtain a new one from an AD. Production numbers are unknown. If you can get on a list you won't be disappointed with the result - assuming you live long enough! Good luck with it.
The current SS BLRO ceramic bezel insert is the closest homage yet to the original 6542 with its Bakelite insert, which looked different to the brighter and more saturated aluminium inserts that followed. |

I’d been on the list for 4-5 years when I decided to go grey. Despite buying 4/5 watches from the AD there was no sign of things improving or this becoming available to me anytime soon. The grey price stung, but I’m pleased I went that way and only wish I had done so sooner when the grey price was at a lower value.

Go grey like others adviced. If you really want it and can afford the premium you won’t be dissappointed
