Future of 5212a?

Firstly, not looking to speculate on price but

What do you guys think will come in the future regarding this reference? Spin offs in precious metal and/or different dial colors?

Use of the complication in a different timepiece?

Thanks

Aside of the fact we never know with Patek, I always thought there could be other materials and maybe dial colors from this reference. Now being launched in 2019, I'm not that confident anymore.

In terms of casual-looking watch, they unveiled the 6007G (3 colors) which maybe plays this role now?

I'm not that sure they'll release this complication in another model. I'll find more probable to have a new version of this watch in the future (if asked by clients), than a new reference family. If clients asked for more versions during Patek's tour and evening private events, I guess we would have had one.

But who knows, if I remember well the 5905R (brown, blue) were launched quite some time after the P models (2015). The 5235G was alone for a very long time before the R came.

Great watch, brave design, interesting concept, well executed. With a launch price of 27kish GBP it was very compelling. I just didn't quite get to the point of wanting to buy it. It's quite busy and the adjustment element.

I think it is possible this would be one of the modern references that starts and ends with just this variant. If so, in steel, it may well be quite attractive to future collectors, many many years from now.

If this is continued, perhaps Patek would play with how the information is displayed. It's been nearly 6 years so I'd be surprised if more metals came with the same display.

I think this one may stand on its own in history.

If it goes out of production it could be produced in precious metal G, R, J. or in other dial colors.

It remains a watch requested by great collectors because of the unique complication, you may like it or not, but if you have a nice collection this watch will be a piece that will certainly complete it from a mechanical point of view.

However, I understand that it is not available for immediate delivery but requires a short wait even if you are a customer.

I’ll never pay over $33k for it out the door only if it has box n papers and is in great shape. It doesn’t look like a $40k watch to me.
