Need Help with 5513 Crystal
Hi -
For a serial 6.6M 5513 in original condition, what should the acrylic crystal look like? Is it a "top hat" style like a 1680 or is it a more subtle dome? Example below (this is obviously an older 5513) Does anyone have pics? Thanks in advance for your help! Last edited by mallory_cyn; 13 February 2010 at 04:55 AM.. Reason: add picture |

The 1680 uses a cyclope 127. The 5513 uses the tropic 19. 19s came in a superdome before changing to the domed style. The domed is used as service replacements.

5513 Crystal
got it...thank you! Does having the superdome vs. the service replacement dome make a huge impact on value?

Oh,..could if the watch falls into the time frame for a collector. Superdomes are ultra cool, but there is always the risk of moisture intrusion with older crystals. Even NOS acryllics can develop cracks over time. Some collectors have learned this the hard way while others have reported no problems. A pressure chek is important here.
