TUDOR ... Which One ???
TUDOR has never been on my radar, but I am so fed up with not being able to buy a Rolex, that I am looking around at other brands ... JLC, Breguet, etc.
The TUDOR Pelagos with Titanium Bracelet and Blue Bezel and Dial ... and TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight, with Steel Bracelet, with Blue Bezel and Dial, catches my eye ... are those watches attainable ? Are those watches "collectible" ? Which TUDOR watches are highly sought after ? If you could only own 1 TUDOR watch ... which one would it be ??? Pictures are appreciated, to me, the TUDOR uneducated. |

Heritage Ranger. A discontinued sleeper and with some advantages over the Explorer.

TUDOR ... Which One ???
Black Bay Fifty-Eight, with Steel Bracelet, with Blue Bezel and Dial is a great watch, I have a Rolex Explorer 39mm and a Classic Omega and I love wearing the Tudor. It’s an absolute strap monster - I got it in the Steel Bracelet but tend to wear it most with reasonably priced non Tudor straps. Don’t bother about future value, be more concerned about buying a watch that you love and will want to keep. If it holds or goes up in value that is just an added bonus.

My one and only Tudor just received it today. It’ll get little wrist time but I’m glad I purchased it it’s a beautiful piece. Saw pictures of it on Saturday called around and it’s on my wrist today, so yea I’d say it shouldn’t be hard to grab one.

Some ADs think the BB58 is super hot and treat them like SS rolex, while others have them in their watch case. BB Ceramic and Chrono are nowhere to be found....
I think the most popular are the BB58, Pelagos, BB Ceramic, BB Chrono. I wouldn't buy without seeing them on your wrist in person. Otherwise, Tudor deliver a lot of watch for the money. I personally love my Pelagos Blue. |

Picking up my BB58 blue later this week. Love the colors & dimensions, and a little more low key wear. Not worried about it as an investment or collectible piece.
Fabric version was available in the case, but preferred a bracelet version which took about two weeks to get in. Pelagos are readily available in our area as well. |

Tried on 3 different Pelagos…the blue, black, and LHD version. Couldn’t get attached to it like when I try on other watches.
The ones I tried on and felt drawn to were the new Chrono, BB58 (I enjoy the black dial, patina/yellow markers and red pip outline) and the GMT. They offer much more to me than the Pelagos. I really lusted after that watch until I tried the 3. I may even buy the Harrods special edition, but need to go try it out. Just enjoy Tudor for a watch, avoid it with the impairment on the brain rolex causes for us all lol. |

I really enjoy my Heritage Ranger, and I’m thinking real hard about the P01. The only Black Bay I really like is the steel bezel Black Bay Date. I don’t know if any of those are or will be collectibles but I think they’re pretty cool.

P01 is the most awkward watch I’ve tried on recently. It feels like you’re putting on a costume and about to head off in a Mummy Returns movie set.

I put an order in for the Panda BB Chrono about 2 months ago now, I'm hoping that they've been ramping production and that I'll see it before the end of the year. Super excited for that watch as it'll be my first chronograph.

Yes, collectible. Most popular and sought after are the BB58s, and 2021 Tudor BB Chronographs. If I owned only 1 Tudor, it would be this. |

I don't have a Tudor, but I were to get one it would be Black Bay 58 925 or bronze boutique edition.

I really like the Ranger too. What are the advantages in your opinion?

What do you mean by collectable and sought after? Do you mean excessive hype? Or do you mean will it go up in value?. I cant answer those questions as I can care less about a watch being "sought after" nor do i have a crystal ball. The black bay heritage chrono offers whats likely the best value chrono period. It has a great movement, offers a date, time, strong water resistance, can take punishment, has great looks (not rolex blingy either which is a major upside). I mean it can be a great one watch only situation. The GMT is also a great far less blingy and pastel than the rolex offerings. The Tudor GMT is what the rolex GMT used to be function over form.

I’ve learned a lot already from your comments, and did another TUDOR search … looking at the watches you’ve mentioned … watches I’ve never seen before in my life.
The GMT is very nice. BB58 is a nice looking watch. But, I have to say … the BB Chrono, in both Black Dial and White Dial … is a very good looking watch. |

After all of these years I still like the BB original case size - I prefer the rivet bracelet and manufacture movement. The burgundy color scheme, colored crown tube, and wrist presence really set it apart. When I bought mine they had a 58 available and after trying both side by side I had no interest in the 58. If I want vintage watch dimensions I will buy a vintage watch. Also the blue just felt a little flat to me. I can definitely see why some love it but I believe it overhyped.
That said, I think the heritage chrono in blue is the Tudor to get…either that or the advisor. They are rare and interesting which is more than can be said of any of the BB models now that Tudor makes 4 billion varieties (most of which look the same to casual observers). N |

I like the bracelet with non-fitted end links, too, which is a nod to the 1950s Tudors and a nice change from the uniform fitted endlinks used across the Rolex and Tudor range right now. The 1016-style dial, domed crystal and red seconds hand also add to the vintage aesthetic. I also like that Rolex registered the name Ranger in 1929, almost a quarter century before they registered the Explorer name. Costing significantly less than half the price of the Explorer, the Ranger is also better value.

If you were to only own one, I would say BB58 is the best all rounder.
If you were to own multiples, you can be more 'creative'. |

Most anything in the Black Bay range works for me. There is something about the BB GMT though. I don't know if it is the somewhat vintage looks or that it goes on the bracelet/leather/NATO so well but it is winner and a keeper for me.
