Skydweller comparison

Spent sometime at my local AD, was rather quite so had a chance to try on a few things...

Receiving a blue skydweller recently has only increased my lusting for the green dial given that the Skydweller reference is probably my favorite.....i know greedy greedy....

Sales rep had a few to try on and as by chance I was wearing my blue dial....

Managed to try both the new reference rose gold/blue dial with jubilee and the very elusive green dial...also had a chance to try the beautiful blue ombre dial daydate with a fluted bezel....

Some thoughts......pictures can not capture the subtle difference between the blue/green dial of the rose gold and the blue dial of the stainless model....however in the metal one can clearly see that the rose gold blue dial is a shade lighter and not quite as brilliant a blue as the stainless, but from a distance hard to tell the difference....the full PM was obviously a much heavier piece and would be quite the head turner with all that rose gold on the wrist...a real statement piece....price to match...

The green dial while also spectacular is still for me just about 2nd to the blue dial, blue dial just seems to 'pop' more.....still an amazing reference to own....hopefully AD will come through by end of year as promised....

The blue ombre daydate felt like a piece of expensive jewelery on my wrist, a real beautiful watch, but for me the meteorite dial I am blessed to own still trumps all dials due to its uniqueness and origin and the way the patterns reflect differently in the light....

Looks like a fun visit. The eye candy is spectacular. I have the blue Sky-D on Oyster and love it.

I love Rolex green, but in the SS SkyD case, this is the one time I’m taking a blue dial over a green dial.

Love both though.

Thanks for the eye candy.

You can't have too many Sky Dwellers.

Echoing others, blue is the color of the sky and is the perfect color on a jubilee sky D. It’s why I bought it. I think it absolutely smokes a GMT as well, despite the Pepsi being super hyped.

Sounds like a nice visit. Interesting to hear about the hue of the blue dial on the RG vs SS.

I am a huge fan of the Sky-Dwellers and at one time owned all four of the dial options for the SS models. I like them all but would rank them today as Black, White, Blue and then Green. The mint green dial did not work for me as well as the others. I do prefer them on the jubilee. The blue dial is nice and is a hype watch that even I am susceptible to, but in the end, I now own the SS Black and White Dial models and a YG White Dial model. If you have the wrist to were a Sky-Dweller I highly recommend them.

Congratulations on the PM Skydweller.....Stunning reference....I'm also partial to the white dial which I have on my two tone...

Was it a case of selling the blue and green stainless models to help obtain the PM? And
I see you went with an oyster bracelet for the PM not your favored jubilee....

I like the black also, but they are all nice. For some reason, I am not fan of black Datejusts, and really like the blue and mint green. But when it comes to the SkyD, black just stands out.

For a larger wrist, the Skydweller on Jubilee is a beautiful watch. With blue dial.
