Would a DJ 41 be too big?

Hi

I have a dj 36 (pic of of 36mm) and wondering whether a dj 41mm on jubilee bracelet would look too big? My wrist is 6.2inches..

Thanks

I don’t see a photo but based on your wrist size I’d say the 36 should be perfect. It’s also the classic DJ size

6.2?

Hit the gym with some wrist curls dawg!!

Just kidding brother, I have a suspicion that a 36 would be buttery smooth on your wrist.

That said, the only size that really matters is the size of your smile when you wear it. If it that means 41, so be it.

I think 36 seems like the right size for your wrist. The 41 could overwhelm it

it's a good size for most people, it does wear a little large but nothing too crazy.

Depends how you like to wear your watches. 41 will be sporty, 36 will be more elegant. Also note, a jubilee will make either size wear smaller due to the non protruding end links.

A pic with a 41mm would be helpful

Get a 36. It will fit you better. The DJ41 is actually 39mm by the way, but either way, the 36 will still be a better fit for you.

My wrist is a smidge bigger than yours, and 36 is the the right size.

The DJ 41 is really on about 39mm. You can pull it off.

Mi wife's wrist is under 6" and she wears my DK 41 all the time.

keyword being your wife...women can do that, guys will look ridiculous with a big watch

i never understood the obsession with trying to force a dj41/dd40 as if it's superior to the 36 versions

I think a 36 would be better as well. I just got my 41 and while it’s smaller than I expected while wearing it’s still prob just right for my 7.25 wrist.

If you think it looks too big it is. If you think it will look too big it will. If you think it's not too big it isn't. Nobody else can tell you these things.

I would have said yes, resoundingly, but based on your photo maybe. But at the end of the day remember, most people have bad taste in most things, so what should matter is your own view.

I agree. The measurements alone made me think 36 was the right size, but in my humble opinion, the 36 in the picture looks small on your wrist, so I think a 41 would be better. But that's just how I like to wear my watches. You gotta do what works for you.

Pick the size you want, half the people will say 36, the other half 41.

DJ41 on a 6.5” wrist with proper perspective photo unlike usual wrist shots.

Meaning like this.
Same watch, same wrist, lens distorted unrealistic photo.

Who was trying to "force" anything?

My opinion is just that, on most men, a 36 looks a bit small and the DJ 41 being actually a 39.4mm piece makes it a unisex piece.

Delusional but funny.

Completely agree.
I was hung up.
Getting older, mid 60’s, 6.5” wrist, seeing my dad’s wrist getting tiny where a 36 is huge on him, couldn’t make up my mind if a 36 or 41 DJ, specially since all my watches are 40 or larger.
Thanks to wife and SA (who btw is a slender lady with a normal wrist and rocks a 41), they convinced me to go 41 route. Glad they did. No regrets. Photos I posted illustrate how perfect it fits, when properly photographed.

36mm is my preference for a Datejust.

My 36mm Datejust gets the most wrist time on my 7 1/2 inch wrist.

I personally feel the 41mm Datejust looks too big for that style watch.

my comment was aimed at people with small wrists that buy 41s when the case covers their entire wrist just because it's the "men's model". in your case, a 36 would look on the smaller side on a 6.5" wrist because that's quite a bit bigger than 6.2 lol, so that comment doesn't really apply to you. at that point you can pull off a skydweller

I think the 36 looks tiny on your wrist and you could def pull off a 41

The DJ41 is only too big if it’s uncomfortable. If it feels good and makes you smile then it fits perfectly.
